Should we bring Billy Sharp back

Irrelevant question; he is contracted to Forest for the season without a release clause so could not be recalled even if we wanted to. And he doesn't seem to want to return either, given the nature of his recent comments in the press. It seems like he's hankering for a permanent move there, as his missus is rumoured to be unkeen to move back down south.

He would also be third or fourth choice striker here and get limited chances to play; and he's probably not good enough for the Premier League in any case IMO.

So in short; no.

i thought all season log loans had to contain the january recall option...

this was said when discussing lukaku...and someone of talksport (some agent) mentioned this clause as standard

Not according to BS in a recent interview; he said he wanted the security of knowing that he couldn't be recalled midway through the season.

Steve Clarke said this was the case with all season-long loans in a post-match interview. Whether that was specific to Prem-to-Prem loans rather than outside the Prem he didn't say.

Here's the interview.

When I signed for the season, I wanted some stability. So I didn't want there to be a clause where I could be recalled in January.

The (Forest) owners have said that they do want to buy me. But a lot has to happen, they have to ask Southampton first, for a start.

But I am here for the season, at the very least, because they cannot recall me in January. I did not want that clause to be in the deal. I did not want any interruptions. I have had a few injury problems in the last few seasons and I have not been able to get to that 20-goal mark.
