The problem is the networks. ms pap is tying up part of some cellular network as we speak, rabbiting scouse at her bessie.

I try to tell her that our actions could be preventing Nige and Nicola from the early doors transfer action, but she doesn't listen.

We will sign a CB not much better than what we've got and a wide midfielder who is the Prem equivalent of Jonno quick (he won't get near the starting XI, sometimes on the bench, will play a max of 200 mins first team football before the end of the season). We will also take someone on loan from Spuds who will make one anonymous appearance and disappear without trace). What we see is what we have, there is no St Mary's money tree (allegedly). We will stay up on the last day by beating Stoke 2-1 (karma on the oatcake fanzine); where that leaves next season's CL ambitions is anybody's guess ... ?

Because every window he makes the same moan about us having not signed 10 players in the first 10 minutes of the window.

Usual toys out of the pram, red-faced, screaming and crying, p!ss-filled pampers type stuff.

Hillarious that clowns like you keep taking the p*ss, despite the fact that I have been proven right yet again and those of you who took the p*ss have egg on your faces.

Talk about lack of self-awareness

And lo! Despite our squad shortcomings being known to the ENTIRE PLANET for 3 MONTHS, we will still be dragging our feet and scrabbling around to achieve anything on the transfer market by the time the window closes......

Would you rather us just sign anyone as long as it's an early signing or wait until later if it means getting a higher quality calibre of player?

Some of the wives and boyfriends...(windows:p.... re your French prima donnnas) like more time to think it over:rolleyes:

Proven right?

Like when you said we would be too far adrift come January to get in adequate additions to help in the run in?

Or when you said that no improvement could be made to the current players?

Or that Adkins wasn't capable of getting more from this current squad?

Well done mate, you were so right. I am definitely covered in egg.

You are right to laugh about that self-awareness comment though, spose everyone gets something right sometimes eh?

Wouldn't bother mate. I stopped listening after this spectacular prediction on the "Points from next five games thread"

http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?41216-Points-From-Next-5-Games

Alpine Saint:

QPR - D

Newcastle - L

Norwich - L

Liverpool - D

Reading - L

2 points. Adkins gone either following QPR or Reading.

Alpine on the reason why Reading will definitely beat us:

Well Reading beat us last year, for me thats a total non-argument. Theyve not been exactly progressing, but they havent been going backwards like us.

I think those of you predicting up to 10 points from 15 considering our record of 5 from 33 are barking...

Funny you should say that Ottery, Morgan had a little dinner party on Monday (a very reserved and wise affair apparently)

for 2 players and their wives. Don't know who they were or whether they're prospective signings but maybe he was tasked to win over the Madames.:smug::smug:

Could be 2 current Saints players for all I know or 2 French lads from the Arse. The French commentators for yesterday's game knew about it, perhaps they were there, perhaps Houillier told them because he'd been on the phone to Morgan on Monday.

Oh yeah and i dunno why people is always arguing with Alpine bout this, course it would be better to sign them earlier so they can do more training and stuff. Stands to reason. He's made you lot look right load of mugs as per usual!

Would be better of course but would you have a little tantrum about it every window like AS does? Even to the extent where he believes that the staff are just sat around picking each others bums and not even bothering to try and sign any players until really late in the window.

i dunno digs, i feel like if mugs didn't keep being mugs then alpine wouldn't have to come on here and set them right each window. It must be very tiring for him. He's more Saint Alpine than Alpine Saint.

Lets just hope he's acknowledged for his tireless and selfless efforts in his own time.

Saint Alpine, I salute you!

As you know damn well, I was referring to our p*ss-poor performance in the last transfer window, and the clear obviousness of where we need to reinforce now - those positions which we ignored or paid lip-service to in the summer.

I do not think this is the case. I think at the time I jumped on the bandwagon of not signing quality, but I think it was just a case of a learning curve. The team from the start of the season is pretty much the same that started the season and you would not have thought this watching us yesterday.

The only thing I worry about is a keeper, and cover. Our starting 11 is good for a mid table team now.

Supporters always jump on this old chestnut, and I will remind you that supporters said the same in the 2 promotion seasons.... Turned out ok I think.

In Nigel I trust, even if you do not.

I thought the general opinion is that this issue doesnt have a lot to do with Nigel.

My main problem with him is his substitutions.

When Cortese became involved we were a busted club. When Adkins came in we were near the botton of Div 1. Since then we have been promoted to Championship and then Premier in 2 seasons having had Cortese stabilize the club in his first year.

I think I will trust their judgement on decision making/transfer strategy
