Colinjb Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 0-3 to Liverpool after 28 minutes. Oh dear Harry, Oh dear oh dear. Seriously, anyone that would want to join QPR will either need to be mercenary (won't help) or a complete gamble. So nice to see a bit of Karma in this game.
S-Clarke Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 They're as good as relegated, just waiting for the confirmation now. No way in hell a team can survive when they only have 10 points by January.
St Chalet Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 They're as good as relegated, just waiting for the confirmation now. No way in hell a team can survive when they only have 10 points by January. Can you imagine the media hype if they did survive? I would be physically sick.
S-Clarke Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Can you imagine the media hype if they did survive? I would be physically sick. If they did, you'd have to launch an investigation into match fixing.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 If they did, you'd have to launch an investigation into match fixing. I couldn't possibly fix a match, I can't even spell my own name. I'm just a triffik manager, with a triffik bunch of lads.
Crazy Diamond Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Some great chanting from the home fans: "We lose every week, we lose every week, you're nothing special, we lose every week."
Turkish Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Can you imagine the media hype if they did survive? I would be physically sick. To be fair If they did survive he'd deserve it. It would be incredible given how poor they look.
Thedelldays Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Can you imagine the media hype if they did survive? I would be physically sick. I would say...rightly so
JackFrost Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 If 'arry can get them organised, makes 2 or 3 good signings in the window and they get back to back wins at some stage of the season they'll stay up. 8 points adrift with 18 games to go? They're nowhere near relegated at the moment.
Thedelldays Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 one thing is for sure...flyer has gone quiet..more so about their world class signings
Colbury Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 If 'arry can get them organised, makes 2 or 3 good signings in the window and they get back to back wins at some stage of the season they'll stay up. 8 points adrift with 18 games to go? They're nowhere near relegated at the moment. Agreed.
Turkish Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Who remembers the day we were 3-0 down with 20 mins to o at home to Liverpool at the Dell, pulled It back to 3-3.
Mr X Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 To be fair If they did survive he'd deserve it. It would be incredible given how poor they look. sounds crazy but I still think they are going to scape survival I've just got a feeling so to speak
Thedelldays Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Who remembers the day we were 3-0 down with 20 mins to o at home to Liverpool at the Dell, pulled It back to 3-3. no, i only started supporting saints in the summer of 2003..
Saints boy in Leeds Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Bitten off more than he can chew me thinks ! Can't say I'm bothered mind
Colinjb Posted 30 December, 2012 Author Posted 30 December, 2012 Who remembers the day we were 3-0 down with 20 mins to o at home to Liverpool at the Dell, pulled It back to 3-3. Tell you what, if they manage that i'll buy you Marians Pahars' shirt from that very game.
Turkish Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 Tell you what, if they manage that i'll buy you Marians Pahars' shirt from that very game. No chance, they've not even had a meaningful shot.
Colinjb Posted 30 December, 2012 Author Posted 30 December, 2012 No chance, they've not even had a meaningful shot. Yep. Safe bet!

They're nowhere near relegated at the moment. They would have to do significantly better whilst everyone above do significantly worst. It's more than just being organised. They look like they can't be bothered to out fight anyone and I'm nit sure who they can sign in Jan who would want to go there and would improve them significantly.
Chez Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 if they get relegated will the media start referencing the two relegations with him as manager rather than the one survival? Maybe a bit unfair as he has taken on a sinking ship, but get fed up of hearing about harry houdini
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 no, i only started supporting saints in the summer of 2003.. What is this uber-fan I've supported saints longer than you bullsh!t? What does it matter when people started supporting the club?
Dig Dig Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 What is this uber-fan I've supported saints longer than you bullsh!t? What does it matter when people started supporting the club? Don't worry about it, tdd mostly posts to try and impress Turkish but just ends up looking a tit 9/10 posts.

Maybe a bit unfair as he has taken on a sinking ship, but get fed up of hearing about harry houdini I don't really get it. Spurs were never going to get relegated. Pompey stayed up buying players they never paid for. Triffik manager!
trousers Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 one thing is for sure...flyer has gone quiet..more so about their world class signings At this rate he'll be going as quiet as Tartan Owl...
Smirking_Saint Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 I get the impression he thought that it may be an easier job as it was, despite their squad they are useless, in fighting, players clearly not up for a scrap etc etc If he manages it then fair play, itll be an absolute miracle, but, surely they are buried now, surely they wont get the signings they need. If we can though, I wouldnt mind seeing Diakite or Granero in the summer (no idea what wages though)
Smirking_Saint Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 I don't really get it. Spurs were never going to get relegated. Pompey stayed up buying players they never paid for. Triffik manager! More impressed by him getting Spurs as far as they did TBH and pompeys situation aside, he did well there. People can try to overlook his achievements however they want, still a top manager.
Crazy Diamond Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 I'd never be so shortsighted as to write QPR off. It's not as if they're totally out of touch, and especially not when we're blowing two goal leads and overly reliant on a couple of players - Lallana and Lambert. I would urge an awful lot of caution.
CB Fry Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 If 'arry can get them organised, makes 2 or 3 good signings in the window and they get back to back wins at some stage of the season they'll stay up. 8 points adrift with 18 games to go? They're nowhere near relegated at the moment. I think they are. They need more than a back to back wins. Even if they win the next three in a row they'll still be bottom three. They need Top six/Europe form from now on to stay up, and that won't happen. Arry's good but he aint that good.
Saint Charlie Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 They arent down. They will spend, throw cash at a couple of big players and IMO will not finish botton.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 8 points is not much! could man city catch united? teams at the bottom get few points, any team that wins 2 or 3 in 5 will jump up the table
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 More impressed by him getting Spurs as far as they did TBH and pompeys situation aside, he did well there. But realistically, that squad had far too much quality to go down.
Dr Who? Posted 30 December, 2012 Posted 30 December, 2012 QPR are screwed, not a chance saggy face will get them out of the mess they are in.
Window Cleaner Posted 31 December, 2012 Posted 31 December, 2012 Watched most of that game, I do wonder if QPR haven't made a monumental mistake over Joey Barton, I mean I don't rate the bloke over highly but he'd be better that Diakaté and M'Bia. He'd be back available for selection now wouldn't he ?

He'd be back available for selection now wouldn't he ? Yup, several weeks ago. Think both English and French FA agreed that the ban would count in the French league as well so he missed the first few months of the season. Playing well by all accounts though, important player for OM.

I didn't see the match but according to a report Chelsea dominated but couldn't break QPR down. They rode their luck yes but sounds like QPR have got to the 'organised' stage. They got tough games coming up but their results from February onwards will be key. I still think they'll stay up.

They had Shaun Derry and Clint Hill playing for them FFS. 9/10 times Chelsea win that game without having to do a whole lot different other than find the net.

They've now won two all season. And still bottom. You can dig up quotes by me from now until May if you like. Being that it is Queens Park freaking Rangers I don't actually care if I rurn out to be wrong.
