Winning away from home

I wonder if, by default, we yesterday discovered a way of playing away from home which may reap dividends?

We will certainly need some away wins in the 2nd half of the season.

I've always been an advocate of having an " away " side and a " home " side, according to the opposition. An extra defender in a 4-1-4-1, or an extra midfielder playing a 4-5-1

I know many managers would say that they like the same team wherever possible, but playing away is an obvious disadvantage and you are on the defensive, far more so than in home games.

Of course it may limit your strike force, but we have 10 players who have scored in the league so far this season, and at the end of 95 mins. one point is better than none at all.

The top clubs play certain players in Euro games, and different players in the home leg..... but not always the same people in PL games.

They may have bigger squads, but in our case.....whereas I wouldn't expect to see Guly in for a home game, I thought he was superb at times yesterday and a candidate for MOM.
