niemi14 Posted 1 January, 2013 Author Posted 1 January, 2013 BORUC starts! Hope he now gets a run of games to prove himself. COYR!
Saint Without a Halo Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 dropped the ball twice in the first 6 mins
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 All those people who were certain he should be playing despite not having the benefit of seeing him in training. In fairness though, it doesn't help with confidence when we're constantly chopping and changing. Keepers need security as there is already so much pressure on them
hypochondriac Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 So weird that he was meant to be this brilliant keeper but can't even do the basics right.
Shroppie Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Didn't move for the goal. Reactions totally missing. KD would have got a hand to that, Gazza might have saved it
mitch01 Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Didn't move for the goal. Reactions totally missing. KD would have got a hand to that, Gazza might have saved it Don't. Talk. Rubbish.
Zlavik Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Didn't move for the goal. Reactions totally missing. KD would have got a hand to that, Gazza might have saved it I want some of them drugs you are on son.
CanadaSaint Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 He has a very laid-back approach that creates a dangerous laziness in his technique. He'll make mistakes with the simplest of things but he's always likely to make s stunning save.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Well those wishing for borat You got you wish. is he better SKD Or Gaza NO Fair enough he comes for crosses, can't catch them, but he does come for them !!
Saint-Armstrong Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 I thought he deserved a chance but by god is he scary.
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 As far as I can see he has done ok after some early jitters
JoeShmoe Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 He was much better second half to be fair to him
Lighthouse Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 I thought he improved a lot second half but truth be told he was never really tested. A couple of rountine saves from difference and caught some crosses well 2nd half. I'd certainly keep him in for the next few games.
Mr Saints Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 He has the vital presence which Kelvin and Gazza lack. He's the best option of the 3 at the moment IMO.
THEVMAN Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Sorry but really think he`s a space cadet, must smoke something alot stronger than B&H
Ewell Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 On another night he would have cost us the match in the first 15 minutes. It could be said that he improved 2nd half but that is because he had bugger all to do. He gets a 5\10 from me and the jury is definitely still well and truly out on this one

With a cup game coming up I'd stick with him though, to give him the benefit of the doubt that it's just nerves and confidence. Whilst he looked like he had no control, what he was trying to do looked good, confident and assured - everything we've been missing. It's just a shame he couldn't do it.
norwaysaint Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 He didn't make so many mistakes in the second half, but I thought that was mainly because of sterling work by the defence and Arsenal having no end product. Boruc was a liability today and we can't say he improved when Arsenal had just one shot on target all match. He was far more shaky than KD and made more mistakes than Gazza has during a match. I really hope he gets better, because he deserves a few more games to prove himself. On that evidence, he rates as worst of our three keepers though. Let's see if he gets better, everybody else ficked up and got another shot.
DJ_TOAST Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Shaky, luckily they didnt have any good shots on him as thought any half decent shot he would have fluffed. All 3 goalies are same, as bad/good as each other, none of them give me confidence.
RobM Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 One good thing about Boruc is he does try to catch the ball rather than punch or parry it.
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Well, started poorly but looked very assured in the second half, even though he didnt have too much to do
Cabrone Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Give him a chance, that was his first game for over a month and only his 3rd this season. He's bound to be rusty. I'll judge when he gets a good run just like Gazza did. I find it wierd that so many on here are itching to jump down his throat whilst Gazza got an amazing amount of slack.

Feck that, the bloke is a liability, get shot and buy someone half useful

Tbf, it is a mongboard... it's still very irritating though. It's the bedwetter's that make everyone else jumpy.

He is supposed to be an International, top-flight, seasoned-pro with great experience. It's not unfair to expect him to be able to catch. But I do think he should be given another game or two, as I said above.
patred44 Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 a total statue of a keeper.. a mere shadow of his former self.. had it not been for some excellent defending his ineptness would have been exposed in the second half. If we rely on him for the rest of the season start preparing for the Championship.
Crab Lungs Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Lot's of people saying get rid... but who to replace him? He's hardly been given a fair crack of the whip, but then that's typical on here.

If we rely on him for the rest of the season start preparing for the Championship. Needs games I suppose but things like handling and collecting, these are basics for keepers and he doesn't look composed enough. His kicking is poor but he could get better with games, do we have enough of those or do we need to buy? I don't think we'll see Davis again in the league this season...
Wade Garrett Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Some of his throws were excellent, and quickly turned defence into attack. His handling errors in the first half were poor. He took his eyes off the ball at the last minute for the cross, it felt like he was trying too hard. But he's no shrinking violet, and he did pretty well after. I reckon he's the best of our 3 keepers. Whether that's actually good enough is another question.
THEVMAN Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Main problem for me is he`s that layed back he might aswell have a mattress strapped to his back, also seems to be smiling and and muttering to himself during the game.Just dont think he`s a stable individual

Think back to Burridge, mad as f*ck.
Crab Lungs Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Totally agree... keepers should certifiably mental.
Thedelldays Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Lot's of people saying get rid... but who to replace him? He's hardly been given a fair crack of the whip, but then that's typical on here. When you think of the horrific errors the other two have done that have directly cost us precious points. I'd take boruc any day
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 When you think of the horrific errors the other two have done that have directly cost us precious points. I'd take boruc any day He made 3 c@ck ups that should have tbh He did improve 2nd half, but that was more down to arsenal
Chewy Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 I've been firmly in the boruc camp but that wasn't much vindication for his case! Granted he made a couple of good throws and his handling got better, but it was woeful to begin with and his kicking all day was poor. I'd stick with him for the cup game to see if he improves and in fairness I don't think he's actually cost us any points this season unlike the other two, so he probably still gets my vote, but I think it has to be the number one priority for the transfer window.
THEVMAN Posted 1 January, 2013 Posted 1 January, 2013 Totally agree... keepers should certifiably mental. He`s straight jacket material lol
