RobM Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Can you keep this off the stoke v saints match thread please? It's not even as if it affects our position in any way. It affects our happiness though, so it can stay.
obelisk Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Looking comfy so far but plenty of time to screw it up yet. I'd be looking for at least one more 'cos I'm sure well concede at some stage. Keep it at a two goal lead for another 30 mins and I'll start to relax just a tad.
the stain Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Mr Miseryguts!! We have space at the moment to enjoy that result too. Lets just focus on the saints game, that's what we're here for. If you want to talk about Portsmouth you should go the lounge where there is some ridiculously long thread all about them.
WealdSaint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Fantastic first half (Mrs Wealdsaint came back in the middle of it wanting to show me her shopping bargins. I ignored her so now am in the doghouse. Don't you dare f**k up Saints, I took a risk for you ;-) ) Guly's cross for the first goal was quality. Just what we were lacking vs Sunderland. COYR
Avenue Saint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Big lol at the mugs slating Adkins (again) based on formation, before ball was even kicked!
the stain Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 It affects our happiness though, so it can stay. No it can't.
RobM Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I suspect one or two SaintsWeb regulars will have exploded by now, given Guly's excellent first half performance.
Ohio Saint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I was convinced we'd lose this one as well. I'm still not certain we'll get anything from the game, but that's because I'm a pessimist. Yep. I had us down for a loss too. If we win this, it will be very sweet.
tpbury Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 A neutral looking at this score would say 3 points to Saints. No one here does.
VectisSaint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 SRL on fire here scored one and made 2!!! And there were quite a few on here who suggested he was crap and should be dropped.
doggface Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Nice to see us putting the ball in the box early for once like last season. guly outstanding so stfu. long way to go however.
dubai_phil Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I dont care what anyone else does as long as we win and keep winning! You & Eric are so banned frm Barasti. Me & FMDP luvvin it Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
RobM Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 And there were quite a few on here who suggested he was crap and should be dropped. That's not true though is it. People never said he was crap, but that we needed more mobility that he wasn't offering and perhaps we should try something else, or someone else. That's not the same as saying he was crap, which he obviously is not.
Mr X Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 A neutral looking at this score would say 3 points to Saints. No one here does. but you know why that is right? we are saints for God's sake Tranmere anyone!
Ohio Saint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Stain, there are many aspects that go to make up a perfect match day. A saints win is paramount, but there are also those tasty little treats that we can snack on as the day unfolds......Either way, it's a lot better than the usual bed wetting crap that we usually have to put up with in this thread.
the stain Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 That's not true though is it. People never said he was crap, but that we needed more mobility that he wasn't offering and perhaps we should try something else, or someone else. That's not the same as saying he was crap, which he obviously is not. They said he had been found out. There were plenty saying he needed replacing.
Bearsy Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Best result of the season if we can hang on. Shaw's getting left 2 on 1 a fair bit, case in point was the goal. He's coping pretty well tho! Guly in quite good at football shock!
S-Clarke Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I bet we screw this up. But why even think like that? Weird.
Thedelldays Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I know people would say they would have taken a draw before the game..but they are not at it today..and at 3-1 at HT..we really have to win this now...
CanadaSaint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Nice to see us putting the ball in the box early for once like last season. Yep. If we could mix that in with our skilled and patient build-up, so that we're actually doing both, we'd be looking at a mid-table or even better.
RobM Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 They said he had been found out. There were plenty saying he needed replacing. Then they are idiots who I clearly didn't pay enough attention to, sorry for missing that.
Ohio Saint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I DO NOT BELEEEEEAVE IT so far!!!! You know my dad?
adrian lord Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 It's not an exaggeration to say our season may hinge on the next three quarters of an hour.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Guly in quite good at football shock! when he's good he's very very good and when he's bad he's like someone that's never played football before. problem is you never know which ones gonna turn up!!!
Dalek2003 Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I seem to be getting a lot of my predictions wrong recently. Hope we get 3 points and Wigan and Villa draw, also Reading Wham
Thedelldays Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Then they are idiots who I clearly didn't pay enough attention to, sorry for missing that. they = about 3 people
RobM Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 It's not an exaggeration to say our season may hinge on the next three quarters of an hour.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Biggest 45-mins of the season so far, IMO.
VectisSaint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 That's not true though is it. People never said he was crap, but that we needed more mobility that he wasn't offering and perhaps we should try something else, or someone else. Lazlo78 Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Would have expected us to fold today, so pleasantly surprised. However, our element of surprise regarding our lineup is nullified by the half time talk, so now starts a new battle. COYS!!!
Katalinic Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Thought we'd get battered today - will be happy to eating humble pie in 45 mins hopefully.
Ohio Saint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 It's not an exaggeration to say our season may hinge on the next three quarters of an hour.... It's very important, for sure............All I know is that I'm enjoying it too much. I seem to have lost the pessimist on my shoulder at the moment........I will be devastated if we "Do a Saints" on this game.
S-Clarke Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Here we go then, strap yourselves in guys. This will be a rollercoaster.
Saint Martini Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 Big lol at the mugs slating Adkins (again) based on formation, before ball was even kicked! My first reaction was that he got it spot on even if it could backfire. But so far he's given us a chance. It takes a lot of guts not playing Ramirez and Clyne and put in bit part players. Now lets hang on! COYY!!!
Chez Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 but you know why that is right? we are saints for God's sake Tranmere anyone! get 1 back and...I just don't want to think about it. COYR

However, our element of surprise regarding our lineup is nullified by the half time talk, so now starts a new battle. COYS!!! Indeed. The first 15 minutes of this half will be huge.
Ohio Saint Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 I know Ramirez is out of favour at the mo, but I'd like to see him come on, if he's fired up by being benched he could tear them apart.
Saint_clark Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 This is a chance. The game as a whole or are you ahead of the rest of us?
S-Clarke Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 The game as a whole or are you ahead of the rest of us? sorry, was commenting on that free kick Stoke had - but we dealt with it.
Chez Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 great ball by Puncheon. He's having another very good game
Thedelldays Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 you can see adam and crouch coming on for them...wonder if gaston will get a run out
Thedelldays Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 its quite sad that a young footballer like shotton goes on the pitch with a towel sewn in the inside of his shirt
adrian lord Posted 29 December, 2012 Posted 29 December, 2012 CRouch is likely to score being ex Saint, just hope we keep them to 2 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
