TO Wiping Transaction History - Another Total Co.ck Up.

The TO is absolute ****e to be honest, I've only been to about 8 games this season and they've screwed up 3 times, twice sending it to the wrong address and once not actually completing the transaction even though it came up with the screen to say transaction complete!

Surely any large company that deals with customer information & transactions will keep back up data and/or will be able to restore back to a previous point in time! I will be AMAZED if they aren't able to sort this out and recreate/retrieve most (if not all) data

Yeah, been the problem for most people that I know; think it might have been discussed on the original Villa tickets thread on here and a few people said they'd emailed the club about it, but don't think we heard anymore after that. Another shambles though.

 

i got a reply back from them,they apologised,said it was a technical fault their end but it shouldnt affect any future transactions.

hope this helps,will see as about to buy my villa ticket

Well get your ErrorInput string in the correct format and you won't have a problem. Can't really blame the club for that.

Has happened to at least 6 others that I know of. Are all their "ErrorInput strings" in the wrong format too, whatever that means!

Logged on to get Villa tickets only to find I'm not legible. When I checked my transaction history it's been wiped bar 2 away games. Even my season tickets don't show up.

 

Utterly useless.

and why would anyone give a **** other than you? grow a pair and phone them to sort it out rather than bleat on a football forum about your shopping problems, you big girl

In all seriousness, this new ticketing site/loyalty system hasn't been great.

 

I know a lot like to mock the "fan on the board" concept, but stuff like this is a good example of the need for some sort of medium for fans to highlight and flag up issues that affect them to the club and for decent updates to be provided back by the club.

I know this doesn't help if your transactions have been wiped, but on the assumption that they will get restored at some point, next time you go into your account take a copy of your account history and save it locally. Take a new copy when you purchase new tickets, that way you will have a permanent record and proof of entitlement to tickets in future. You should also have emails for each transaction. I know this doesn't help right now but maybe a good idea for the future for those that do not trust the TO.

I had same problem. I was ok. My son who has been to the same number of games wasn't eligible but my father-in-law who has only been to two games was eligible. Called the ticket enquiry line and when I finally got through to a very helpful assistant she sold me the tickets over the phone, she confirmed that they have been having technical issues which should be sorted shortly.

This is clearly unacceptable. They should have had someone in monitoring the server logs 24/7 for errors over Christmas Day and Boxing Day to prevent these technical issues from occurring.

 

To pay for this additional support I am sure we will all happily pay an increase in the ticket tax....

have you ever tried phoning them to sort it out?

also its effecting quiet a few of us by the look of it

i have been intouch with them as i had the problem for stoke tickets,they told me it was sorted and i shouldnt have anymore problems.well guess what,cant get a villa ticket and allmy data has gone.

so yes,alot of us are moaning on here

The problem has been on-going for a few weeks not, on top of the various other problems with our ticketing system, but thanks for your contribution.

so how does it help bleating in here then? maybe you meed to practise articulating yourself more clearly and they may understand you a little better.

 

i had a similar problem with arsenal tickets not registering and it was resolved with a simple telephone conversation. would you like a script?

I got mine this morning. Seems they sorted mine overnight without me even calling them. Unfortunately one of the other season tickets I was using had been wiped. I rang them up and the bloke sorted it in a few mins and even let me book over the phone as they'd had some other problems with their systems.

 

Does seem odd they haven't sorted it in one go with a data restore/recover, but are doing it on a case by case basis as people spot it.

I went to get mine yesterday but it said I couldn't as wasn't elligible (done every game this season bar Leeds) so I just left it as was busy at work. Checked this morning and it said I was elligible for one but the other ticket I was using hadn't been sorted.

 

So I reckon they aren't able to do a system restore and are maybe just going through on a customer to customer basis and correcting it.
