That was a generous showing in comparison to the 20-30 seconds we got most weeks. All my efforts would have been justified with 1:26, turn off the telly and off to sleep a happy man...

I particularly enjoyed lineker's mumbled "and southampton are doing well" which represented the analysis of our performance. Sounded like he remembered we had lost our last match half way through the sentence.

The tackle from RIsse not even shown which he should of been sent off for and Burbatov tackle could have also been a 2nd red Slightly biased viewpoint.. the Riise tackle could have seen a Red card for Ramirez as he was the one with the studs in the air and could have been seen as a stamp. Berbatov was however lucky not to see a 2nd yellow.

A couple at most , and they both fudged most of them up. A tackle here, a tackle there, isn't going to keep the punters awake late night on beeb really is it.

Just Jonathan Pearce's commentary along the lines of "obviously not a goal". I find his commentary quite annoying. He seems to think he needs to impose a snapshot editorial on things when there is no need. As for the effort itself, what a great flick, turn and shot by Gaston. It's criminal how little we get him on the ball near the opposition box.

It's criminal how little we get him on the ball near the opposition box. Yep. 2 goals in 11 games is not a great return for a player in his position. Playing him out wide is a nonsense really; he's our most creative and potentially effective player yet wasted out wide. Having Steven Davis in his position makes it even worse! Gaston needs to be played central, and he also needs to get into scoring positions more often.

No FLS for any of the match days for the whole festive period including New Years Day. Inexplicable and pointless. Wouldn't surprise me if it is same again.
