  1. 1. Keeper for 2nd half of Season

Does it give your life meaning spending Boxing Day criticising people that correct other people on a football forum?

Its a bit wierd, that's all. Of the two threads I've read your contributors too since I logged on one was a patronising correction of a spelling mistake on a player and the other was correcting people about our goal today, when they hadnt seen it properly. It must be great being you.

Gazzaniga - just too early for him. Perhaps his injury was at a 'convenient' time for the club in order to make the change and restore Kelvin.I think PG may make the grade but we saw Gazzaniga sat with the squad players v Sunderland, and am sorry to say the body language just said "sulk", to me and my son.Perhaps not the attitude NA requires.

Boluc has thrived on a reputation earnt elsewhere a few years ago. After his water bottle tantrum, I suspect his time here will be short.

KD, is not a Prem standard keeper.

Some people do not think we need another GK in January. I can't see us surviving without one.

Should be a priority IMO.

I don't know enough about Boruc to vote for him, his record at previous clubs is good but already he's out of favour here. Gazzaniga looks error prone and while he may have a good future, he's not ready at this level yet. I also don't see us signing a new keeper in January, which leaves Davis. (Although I hope we do target another keeper in January.)

Boruc for me, although did anyone see some of the howlers he let in in the warm up today?

I noticed this. Was a bit disturbing.

I have no confidence in any of them to be honest.

Was initially pleased with Borucs signing, but didn't have a great start, and is clearly out of favour for a reason.

I do believe Gazza has potential, but probably isn't ready yet.

Kelvin, well, I love the bloke, he's been a fantastic servant to the club. He's played a massive part in our ascent in recent years, but he's just not up to the prem. it's costing us too many points now.

if administratively possible before 5.30 pm next Tuesday. Cos if not we'll play Davis again and Arsenal will just slam in shots from 20 out all afternoon and we'll ship a shedload.

Stoke put the ball into the area a lot, Davis rarely leaves his line. We could ship a shedload on saturday as we dont have a keeper who can command the area.

Even Hart is making mistakes, we are not going to find an error free keeper with this ball. Kelvin has looked better since he's been back but hasn't really been tested and should have done better with the Fulham goal. If a really top keeper becomes available (unlikely) go for him and ditch Boruc otherwise it's whoever's in until they make too many mistakes

Press have been linking us with both Paul Robinson & Jack Butland again.

Haven't seen either play this season but with Boruc only signed to Jan think we have an idea what is coming

Boruc is probably on very little money (relatively) and is happy enough to train with our group and be in a better condition to get himself a good contract in January.

I thought Boruc was signed up for the whole season?

NA must be desperately concerned about his very position being undermined by keeper error after keeper error. At this moment and without doing anything apart from stopping the stoppable as he would say we should be on 22 points and comfortably installed mid-table instead of hovering over the relegation zone with a pile of sh*tty away fixtures stacking up.

Given? If he can't get a game at Villa why would he be better then our goalkeepers?

There's one fact and that is that so far our goalkeepers have cost us more points then they've gained. In fact the only match where I can really say that one of them made a decisive save that meant points gained in the end was Gazza against Villa, and it wasn't that difficult a save.

I voted for Gazza since I don't believe we have money to invest left (I'd be happy to be proven wrong) and even though he has made is fair share of mistakes he has also shown potential. He's quick and agile and he got a good long-kick (he just needs to use it with better judgement, Davis on the other hand mi****s the ball all the time).

Boruc is a big unknown for me. I know how good he can be from his time at Celtic, Fiorentina and the Polish national team but he was awful in the matches he played for us. He looked unfit physically and mentally and unless that has changed dramatically he is not a solution.

I'm afraid KD showed why he isn't a Prem keeper again. Schwarzer totally dominated his whole penalty area, Davis is yet again rooted to the line as balls go into the six-yard box and their goal was a gift, I'm afraid.

maybe if anyone from our midfield was covering the left hand side or if shaw wasnt skinned so easily of if yoshida hadnt defended the 6 yard box or if fonte had been closer to berbatov to goal could have been prevented, but apart from having gadget arms there wasnt heaps davis could do about teh goal as teh fulham player had all day to direct his cross as there was no pressue applied to him

I agree that Davis is not Premier League quality despite the fact that he can be a good shop stopper. On Saturday his positioning for their goal was appaling and the reason why he flapped at the centre. If you noticed he was in the centre of the goal and had not covered his near post. If he had covered his near post he would have narrowed the angles for the centre and probably would have be able to intercept it quite easily. Unfortunately there appears to be a dearth of "box commanding "keepers. Freidel is head and shoulders above many and would love to see him between the sticks.
