S-Clarke Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 What's that all about? Weird. They've been ticking along quite nicely.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 They are 8th & only 2 points behind 5th placed
SuperSAINT Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 What's that all about? Weird. They've been ticking along quite nicely. Will be interesting to see what they have to say about that. They've probably got word that a "big name" manager is interested... ...because Steve McClaren worked so well for them.

skintsaint Posted 26 December, 2012 Author Posted 26 December, 2012 Chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi said: "We cannot speak highly enough of Sean as a man. He was appointed at an extremely difficult time for the Club and can count himself unlucky to have lost his job with the team just one point away from the top six. "With the January transfer window approaching, we feel it's the right time to make a change. "We are looking to bring in an ambitious manager with Premier League experience." Abdulaziz Al Hasawi, who was at The City Ground for today's game against Leeds, added: "The timing of our decision may look a little odd after the win over Leeds but sometimes you need to make changes with the long term future in mind. "Sometimes those changes need to be made from a position of strength rather than weakness and that is what we are trying to do."
SuperSAINT Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 Di Matteo? Hughes? Who knows! Aren't their owners the one's who were saying they'd appoint a "legend" of the game prior to getting Sean O'Driscoll in? I quite like him as a manager actually. Under-stated, and gets his teams playing some really good football.

Badger Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 Hope they go for Di Matteo , just to put an end to his name hanging over us.
skintsaint Posted 26 December, 2012 Author Posted 26 December, 2012 Ambitious manager with PL experience....does NA come under this?
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 One of those moments where the owner does not see eye to eye with the owner, and the owner is looking at bigger and better things, before they have even got out the championship.
CB Fry Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 Get on Nigel Clough I reckon. No chance. Nige far too honourable to walk out on Derby to go to "that lot down the road". Won't happen. Feel free to dig this post up in two days time when he gets unveiled, of course.
Crazy Diamond Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 Forest's owners are just trying to fit in. Sacking managers with no good reason is a custom these days.
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2012 Posted 26 December, 2012 I heard some kind of stat earlier and it was 47 or around that amount of managers of clubs are different than they were at start of 2012. I thought it was the start of the season but that would be mad! Well maybe come a few years time. Crazy, that is around half the manager have changed in 12 months.
Window Cleaner Posted 27 December, 2012 Posted 27 December, 2012 (edited) Get on Nigel Clough I reckon. They'll go for Roy Keane methinks. See tha Berg has been sacked from Blackburn as well. Thing is owners expect far more for their vast sums of money than they get and that's because many of the players who demand vast sums of money just aren't all that good. Yer average UK man's appraisal of a "decent footballer" is way way off more often than not. Edited 27 December, 2012 by Window Cleaner
Greenridge Posted 27 December, 2012 Posted 27 December, 2012 ...........and Henning Berg's been sacked by Blackburn after 10 games.
Crab Lungs Posted 27 December, 2012 Posted 27 December, 2012 ...........and Henning Berg's been sacked by Blackburn after 10 games. It was an absolute surprise they appointed him anyway. He's been mediocre as best as a manager. Mark Hughes incoming IMO

SuperSAINT Posted 27 December, 2012 Posted 27 December, 2012 McCleish favourite for Forest job, apparently.
Turkish Posted 28 December, 2012 Posted 28 December, 2012 It was an absolute surprise they appointed him anyway. He's been mediocre as best as a manager. Mark Hughes incoming IMO Not now Phil Brown has come out and said he wants the job!
Ziggy Posted 28 December, 2012 Posted 28 December, 2012 McLeish in at Forest What a shame for Forest. He is dire. Both sets of locals round my way hate him.
Thedelldays Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Lots of talk about MacLeish about to walk out... Or at best, stay will the summer at the latest
