Saintandy666 Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Good result. Seemed quite fair really. Fulham are a decent mid-table team so a point away there should be welcomed.
LeBenali Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 I'll take that, we showed some promise in the second half with a lot of 'nearly' moments. If we can play like that for 90mins on Saturday then we should be on for at least a point.

itchen Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Happy with that. But what has happened to SRL? Seems to be shy of shooting or even getting into a shooting position.

OldNick Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Any away point is vital. As we have played more at home than away we need some good performances, more importantly points away.
Jimmy_D Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Would have taken that before the match. Was Ramirez' shot over the line?
Saintandy666 Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Also, I see we have moved to one point out of the relegation zone which is good. We want to be at least 3 or 4 away by the time of our game in hand. When is that?
Window Cleaner Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Sounds like another poor performance. .. not at all, we weren't bad at all, nothing up front as usual.
CanadaSaint Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 They really ground out a result, which was good to see, but I thought we had enough to have won it. Good to see the Ramirez we thought we'd bought start to show more of his high-end talent. The horrible Sunderland result doesn't look quite as bad after they beat City. carljack Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Thoughts folks? Penalty aside Rickie was poor? Thought Yoshida looked good... The defence does look OK, Midfield doing well,we are just lacking the cutting edge in the last third.
Katalinic Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 not at all, we weren't bad at all, nothing up front as usual. Scrappy game devoid of quality in the final third from either side.

captainchris Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Decent performance, last 3rd let us down Off day for Gaston and Ricky Not for the first time.... Preparation is seriously flawed. St.Patrik Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 It looked clearly over the line - but perhaps because I have my saints glasses on : ) imagine if its been Maure - the the goal line camera discussion would have started again. Ohio Saint Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Good away result. We could have won on another day, but the same could be said about Fulham. Something is missing though in terms of self belief or will to win.

saint lard Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Happy with that. But what has happened to SRL? Seems to be shy of shooting or even getting into a shooting position. We were playing hoofball and he was isolated. Adkins got lucky again today. Ramirez playing left then right,he should be in the hole from the off. way to late to get Rodriguez on. he seems to be using a 'pick and mix' team selection process...a lucky dip method if you like. just like the goalkeeping situation. Restark19 Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Decent point. Really worried about the lack of bite upfront though, we'll be very lucky to get a goal against stoke tbh. JackFrost Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Ah well that's a decent point and we bettered QPR's and Wigan's results today. Could have been worse, we could have lost 2-1 at home to the mighty Crawley Town

Window Cleaner Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 SRL is starting to struggle with his lack of mobility in this league.....A great pen but very little else... nice volley but he needed to go down on it if you see what I mean. Lambert looks a yard or a yard and a half short all of the time. It's clearing frustrating the other players. They put balls into good areas except he's not where he should be. Crab Lungs Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Fantastic performance. Far better than Fulham. Should have won it really, but we were just a little off-the-pace in the final third sometimes. We'll never be out of games against these kind of sides... it's just a case of how many of these games we convert into points... after all, a brave loss still gets 0 points. He gives us nothing with ball in hand. I hope to god that they view a quality keeper as a high priority because that put us behind the eight-ball from the get-go. And a quality CM is critical IMO because I get the serious willies whenever Davis is playing, and Schneiderlin works his butt off without injecting much real quality. bangkoksaint Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 If we struggled today, SRL is off form and GR doesn't like the rain then I predict we will be battered at Stoke. I so hope I am wrong but having seen the Sunderland performance and read what I have today stoke is not the place we wanna really go right now
ThreeSixty Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Can't really single out Rickie. Our front 3 were all dissapointing. S.Davis also offered nothing. Point was probably the right result.

Yate Saint Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Good point that. Didn't quite come off in the final 3rd. Once the others get a better understanding on Ramirez' style then he will become a huge player for us. He is slowly getting used to the 'English' game I feel. Exciting times!!! OldNick Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Derry and WC above sum us up. Having a go at 2 of the clubs best servants in the past 3 years. If it wasn't for KD and RL we would still be CCC at best. Nothing like hiding back in the shadows and waiting to pick holes at the first chance. I'm sure both players could do better but nobody is perfect.
Dr Who? Posted 26 December, 2012 Share Posted 26 December, 2012 Great point, and a game which either team could have won. First draw on the road, and as I have said before we are doing things the right way an tightening up at the back, which means things up front have dried up a bit. One more game and NA gets the chance to address this problem. Would love a 0-0 on Saturday, that would do nicely!
