LWhat the worry is.... Is that our away form is beyond acceptable really

We have won 3 games at home. We messed up really. Now we have to beat man city, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton at home... Well, at least 2 of those and draw one as well as pick up points at hike to stoke, QPR etc....seeing as we are abysmal away

I just can't see us doing what Sunderland did... Dig it and nick points

We got 3 points from playing at home... Wigan, Fulham, Swansea, Norwich and Sunderland.... Not very good really

Reading, on the other hand, have to play at home, all of the bottom clubs.

Probably be too late but will be interesting

As I've mentioned in another thread,Nick, equally worrying is that we only have QPR left to visit us at home, of the current bottom eight clubs......
Sorry did not see that. I also did not realise that we have had most of the lower placed teams at home!!. Its too late now those games are gone to do anything,I just hope we can improve away.

I do hope that our tinkerman stops changing the team set up after getting good results. Ok we had injuries but if it aint broke dont fix it. Saturday was to my mind the biggest game for us so far this season, sadly we failed.

"Tinkerman" makes a rod for his own back. In last Thursday's pre-match he said "all of the squad will be used, everybody will get their chance". All that says to me is that he's been told to use the not-even bit part players . We really need to get rid of him, that is all.

It is a bit of a worry that we have played 3 more games at home than away, that would make you feel our points in the 2nd half of the season may not meet hopes or expectations. I do wonder why the fixture computer does skew such things.

We haven't reached the 2nd half of the season yet, the next two games bringing us up to the halfway mark are away from home meaning after 19 games it'll be 10 home games and 9 away games. We also had an away game postponed due to Chelsea being in the World Club Cup.

I said the same to a friend yesterday. We have some good teams to come at home at just the time they'll be fighting particularly hard for places.

I think we will do enough away from home to stay up.

And it's the home games against the lesser sides that you expect the lion's share of points to come from. Any game away from home is very tough in this league, as is any home game against the top clubs.

Forget the current table it's meaningless until all the fixtures have been played, look at the games to come and the points we will need to get and it is a pretty dire situation.
