Are you suggesting something different then?

I think what he might be suggesting is that Mayuka has played 45 minutes, hasn't been that good but thats now his Saints career written off by some on here because that's how short sighted some people are. Although I might be wrong.

Problem is that Lambert is in midfield and we're asking Mayuka to try and hold the ball up or win the ball in the air, which he isn't going to do. If Mayuka is going to do anything up front the team need to try and play the ball into space so he can use his pace to get in.

Put RL back up front, move Ramirez into the middle and put Mayuka out wide 2nd half please.

I'm suggesting that this forum is full of defeatist gutless moaning fannys who know very little about football yes.

Football is all about opinions from fans, so if someones opinion is different to yours then they know little about football?

So onto the topic it was about do you think Mayuka has had a good game so far?

To me, we look like an exciting and good side today - if we keep it up, we will get an equaliser. Sunderland are well organised defensively, but we have the patience to break them down. There is everything to play for in this game and I'd keep the pessimism at bay at least until the final whistle.

COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!

Mayuka certainly is NOT rubbish.

Raw yes, but any idiot can see he has quality. What he is lacking at the moment is the "telepathic" level of understanding his role in the game. Not surprising considering his lack of game time. Still good news is he will wear their CB's out for JRod to make a difference

Too many touches around the box, too many balls looking for Mayuka in the air when Rickie pulls 2 defenders out the centre.

Wet pitch cannot be helping but until their goal Sunderland looked awful.

Anyway chill, we've never won a PL game with Howard Webb in charge. He proved that by not giving a clear penalty. Ceullar went right through Mayuka. Nailed on in all the replays

Oh and Lambert? Really? Jeez that man just seems to walk around, beat players and make wonder passes. Getting better and more intelligent every game. So nearly got through as well

Maybe Mayuka will react well to a good half time talking. Yes, I'm clutching at straws here, but he hasn't been as bad as suggested here.

We haven't really tried to use his strengths 1st half, look at how spurs play when Defoe is alone up front, they try to get the ball in behind so he can run onto it. We have done that once all half. He's never going to hold the ball up or win an aerial battle against Cuellar & O'Shea.

I actually think he has been crap also. I also think others have been. Shaw should have done much better and got close to fletcher for the goal....ball watching.

Does that make me a defeatist or just someone with an opinion.
