Not sure there is one planned but have just been in Southampton and walked the dog and the rain has not been particularly heavy - yesterday's dry day would have helped. I would be surprised if there is a problem.

The Groundsmen are good at SMS and the drainage is good, I recall a game against Leicester where the heavens opened to the point that Noah was on standby and the pitch was puddled the game kicked off 15 minutes late as the ref let them squeegy the pitch. Spurs New Years Day 2003 the game looked in doubt at lunchtime but they weaved their magic and got the game on.

Only the Palace game years ago has been lost to rain and that only because it had rained all day and all the city drains were overwhelmed due to a high spring tide stopping the run off into the sea.

So keep your powder dry, anyway the game won't be off until the Sunderland coaches are in town and then they can go shopping in West Quay instead!!

Our pitch has always been very good, it would need to have been torrential rain for 24 hours non-stop for it to be under threat. It's not really been too heavy here, just the depressing light drizzle...!
