He has seemed to have dropped out of public life? Does he still have connections down here? Went off him when he left but could never doubt the mans attitude when he played for us. Plus the goal that never was!

Winchester Red Posted 21 December, 2012 Posted 21 December, 2012 Was that the one which was a overhead(ish) kick from the corner of the penalty area that went in the top corner but was disallowed because someone was offside (in the days when anyone forward of play was off regardless of whether they were interfering)? Might have been Channon offside. Anyone know?

After his first match for us they opened the Gym at the Dell (Gym is being very polite) and you could go and meet him. The queues snaked back from the old reception, right back past the corner post pub. He stayed until he had met everyone (I think we queued for over two hours). Funnily enough I found that picture last week. Once you get past the ugly kid, you can almost see the awe I was in, just being next to him. I really don't think it will ever be matched or beaten as a signing. Edited 21 December, 2012 by Gemmel
