Saint Charlie Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Better than playing Guly Del Prado IMO. Dickson has a nice left foot and is more mobile than Fox. Probably unlikely as he has been frozen out but could it work? I think (know) it could.
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 No that's not the answer. Would be a ridiculous move.
S-Clarke Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Why are you on a constant wind-up these days?
Saint Charlie Posted 15 December, 2012 Author Posted 15 December, 2012 Why are you on a constant wind-up these days? Bit harsh how SFC have ruined Dickson's career don't you agree? He hasnt played a football match for months yet has done nothing wrong. I reckon he would be champing at the bit to prove the club wrong, and as such we should look to involve him more.

Tokyo-Saint Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 I think we should draft dan Harding in. Should be available in Jan.

Every time i saw him, he was complete and utter dog**** - he probably did have some good moments, notably Plymouth away, but on the whole was a poor buy. He's a mid-table L1 player at best, who prior to us getting him, played out of his skin at Brentford - but that's his level if we're honest. I don't believe he's even registered in the PL squad, so there's not even a possibility of it happening, and if it did we'd have admitted defeat!
Ewell Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Fox and now Dixon, what planet are you all on? Gaston will play on the left or possibly even J-Rod in a front 3.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Don't understand why people feel the need to try and adopt a persona on here, especially when they've been posting normally for years then suddenly change.

shurlock Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Don't understand why people feel the need to try and adopt a persona on here' date=' especially when they've been posting normally for years then suddenly change.[/quote'] Exactly - thankfully guns are illegal in this country.

He had some decent games for us but his best game at SMS was probably the one against us for Brentford. We should allow him out on loan though, not his fault he isnt gpod enough but we are stalling his career at the moment. Interesting to see the list of players out of contract this summer. Chaplow, Butterfield, Forecast, Richardson, Seaborne will all be gone.

Professor Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 If AL is out over Christmas/New Year he will be replaced by a player from the current bench, so Davis or JWP. It might be interesting to see who gets a step up to the bench but I'm sure NA won't put anyone straight into the starting line-up who hasn't played as a sub at least.

The JWP experiment has finished. Reckon it will be Jrod>Guly>Davis in that order.

He had the opportunity to play regularly for Yeovil but he considered a decent income to be a higher priority. Do not blame him on that at all. Fair play but it was ultimately his decision.
Restark19 Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Interesting to see the list of players out of contract this summer. Chaplow, Butterfield, Forecast, Richardson, Seaborne will all be gone. Don't think Richardson's definitely out the door tbh, covered well for Clyne when he was moved to LB, reckon he'll play a few more times this season when back from injury. As for Dickson playing - he's in no way good enough for this league or even the championship, would much much rather play Guly
Window Cleaner Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 I meant Lallana reminds me of that 1976 Child bloke, perhaps he's been let loose again or Dune or Cheese on Toast.
Saint Charlie Posted 15 December, 2012 Author Posted 15 December, 2012 reminds me of that 1976 Child bloke, perhaps he's been let loose again or Dune or Cheese on Toast. Eh?
Window Cleaner Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Eh? see post 5, just finished a 22 mile run so not too lucid.
jimbojones10 Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 you honestly think RD is better then guly. jesus you clearly know your football
Window Cleaner Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Not Prem quality so no wasn't even Championship quality and had his off days in league 1. Complete ball watcher, sports science found him out.
Turkish Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 I think some of you need to cast your minds back to our first season in L1 and a fantastic goal scored by Brentford at SMS. An attacking full back ran at our defence skinned 4 players and delivered a peach of a cross for a Brentford goal. Who was thst player? Oh that right the one Pardew was so keen to sign during the following summer. Look at Pardews business for us, the vast majority of his signings have been hits. Why would Ryan Dickson be any different? He's hardly been given a chance here and he's proved he can be a real threat going forward.

The way Dicko filled in for Lallana at Leyon Orient in our promotion season- just immense.

shurlock Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Great cross for Lamberts goal wasn't it. To the byline and everything- f**king peach of a cross.
Saint Charlie Posted 15 December, 2012 Author Posted 15 December, 2012 Great cross for Lamberts goal wasn't it. Yes but don't tell the experts on here. They will tell you Guly or Jay Rodriguez would do a better job on the left flank!
Olallana Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Maybe we should go back to L1.....and use Dickson to help us get two or three goals in a season. On the other hand, let´s not.
Thedelldays Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 I remember when he played well at Orient....or was it brentford but he definitely played well at one of those mighty grounds
Turkish Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 I remember when he played well at Orient....or was it brentford but he definitely played well at one of those mighty grounds If he can play well of pitches that are not much better than school playing fields imagine how excellent he could be on the bowling green like surfaces of premier league clubs.
shurlock Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 I remember when he played well at Orient....or was it brentford but he definitely played well at one of those mighty grounds Got the all-important second goal at Plymouth as well -showed he could keep his head when others might have lost theirs. Exactly what you want for a relegation dogfight.
Thedelldays Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Got the all-important second goal at Plymouth as well -showed he could keep his head when others might have lost theirs. at his old team, who he supported as a boy..the emotions that ran through his mind as he shaped up to score which relegated them top pro

Leicestersaint Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Guly played very well when he came on against Reading.
david in sweden Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 (edited) Maybe sounds a bit tough, but he was bought as an L1 player and was probably best suited to that level. Got no real chances last season and clearly is not the answer NA is looking for ....nuff said ! Edited 15 December, 2012 by david in sweden

Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Guly played very well when he came on against Reading. Touched the ball 4x, missed a sitter and hit one over the bar............yes played very well

Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Jesus christ Can he play LM? What am i like?
Manuel Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 Touched the ball 4x, missed a sitter and hit one over the bar............yes played very well At a time when we were watching the clock and trying to maintain the 1-0, don't forget. I thought he did play well, I also thought he showed more potential than J-Rod.
Olallana Posted 15 December, 2012 Posted 15 December, 2012 so what´s next.... get Forte ready for games in case that Lambert gets injured?
