A weekend off, where will we be at the end of it?

Other then having a game in hand, looking at the fixtures, what do we reckon?

Looking at the fixtures below, Sunderland will probably be put into their place at Old Trafford, Villa are on something of an upturn currently but so are Liverpool, put Suarez back into contention though and that should see them off. Could see QPR getting a first win v Fulham and Reading. Norwich and Wigan will be tricky to call too.

Wouldn't be surprised to be back in the bottom three by the end of play, but then that keeps the tension going, it wouldn't be Saints without a little tension.

Saturday

Newcastle v Man City

Liverpool v Villa

Man Utd v Sunderland

Norwich v Wigan

QPR v Fulham

Stoke v Everton

Sunday

Tottenham v Swansea

West Brom v West Ham

Monday

Reading v Arsenal

They're all back to front! Aways are homes and vice versa. Or am I going mental?

Actually apart from the early kick off (Man City to win away at Newcastle), and the Monday game (Arsenal to beat Reading) I think it'll be home wins across the board.

All very good for Saints. A win next week would be a lovely Christmas present.

Will be a dull day today, but I can see QPR getting a win today - pretty comfortably too IMO.

Agree. Redknapp has sured them up defensively and everyone at QPR will know today is just about win or bust. Personally think Reading will be bottom at Christmas and by Feb totally cut adrift. QPR will join the party late but have a go at staying up. Fulham could do us a massive favour today.

Wigan equalize.

A pretty forgettable day so far. Horrific set.

Newcastle and Sunderland lost/losing and Sunderland's main goal threat going off injured 7 days before we play them.

We won't have every result go our way every week, what we've got is some important things today - key being Fletcher possibly out next week.

I'm only commenting on what i see! Speculation that fetcher will be out, probably won't be. So that's not a positive until the team is announced next week.

Was hoping Liverpool would do a job, but it makes our effort there look pretty poor in comparison.

...another team along with Swansea and Norwich we should have beaten at St Mary's...

Would agree that we should have beaten Fulham and Swansea, but I thought a draw was fair in the Norwich game. They played pretty well that 2nd half, and could have even won it themselves. Certainly earned a draw.

If you harp on about Villa winning at Anfield today, we beat Villa very comfortably 4-1, what does that say about Villa?

I'm not harping on about it. Merely making a very valid comment on th difference in attitude of the two sides. Keep justifying it though I'm sure you'll convince yourself that our 1-0 defeat wa a great result.
