An easy enough win for Chelsea against what appeared to be a mid-Championship team who tried hard but were outclassed.

 

But the reason I start this thread is to comment on the support. There was a surprisingly large contingent of Chelsea fans, but despite being 0-3 down for almost all of the second half, it was the Mexican fans who were the loudest. I couldn't make out the words of their main song, but the tune was unmistakable ... OWTSGMI.

Monterrey were far better against Ulsan Hyundai but couldn't string two passes together today. I suppose they just weren't used to the relentless pressing from Chelsea, and it didn't help that their best player Humberto Suazo was out injured,

 

Apparently Corinthians have brought 25,000 fans to Japan. The tournament is massive in the americas.

I would love it if chelsea lost this, I have NO affinity to chelsea any more, used to quite like them but their policy of dumping anyone who goes through any bad patch managerially is pathetic.

Let's hope Chelsea are as toothless when we play them in the cup. They looked completely hopeless in all areas.
