as people said when we were bottom, re - adkins....there is no point as who would come in...?

so far...reading have..

drew at QPR

lost at wigan

lost at Saints

losing at sunderland

didnt they lose at villa..?

BUT...they have all these teams to play at home yet......and likewise...we have the opposite....maybe it could all change...

that is what NickG's on the reading forum would say

They lost at Villa too.

Yes they've got some decent home games to come but they look awful, I can't see them winning too many at home either.

But hey, they have won against a top 6 team...

I thought you always said that THAT is crucial to survive??

They're dreadful. My only real criticism of our performances in recent weeks is the inability to put teams to the sword when we've been so far on top. Newcastle and Reading should have been done for 4 or 5 goals apiece, and think what our goal difference would look like if that had happened. Sunderland have struggled to score goals all season and yet they look like they could get double figures tonight.

We certainly looked more likely to score earlier in the season...but perhaps we've sacrificed a part of that for the defensive solidity we've seen?

Il take a draw vs Sunderland i know its a home game but to be honest there squad on paper is decent and should be between 12th and 8th, our squad is getting there but our CBs need to be in form to stop there strike force pace, i have know doubt Fonte will win the aerial battle with Fletcher, but his and sessengnon pace scares me, i have confidence Clyne will stop Johnson or that non poppy wearing idiot and Shaw will cope with Larsson.

We will also need gaston to really control the game and spread the balls to Lallana and Puncheon as there full backs lack pace to keep up with our guys.

Before they play us on the 22nd they are at Old Trafford this weekend. That should hopefully knock any confidence out of them.

Not a given that they'll lose though. A draw - or even a narrow defeat whilst playing well - will give them even more confidence.

They'll especially have more belief in their ability to score now.

I am LOLing at all the Reading and someone else fans I work with moaning on their Facebook about how crap they and McDermott are. Only 4 short months after telling me they'd made the best signings of the summer out of all the promotion teams, had the best manager, are loaded and going to finish mid table.

You're going to be afforded plenty of ROFL'ing over the next few months

bradford have just knocked a full strength arsenal team out of the league cup on penalties...

utterly embarrassing

also, this is bradford 9th consecutive penalty shoot out win....the secret...long run up, hit it hard and dont change your mind where you hit it...

on another note...willshere was very very good...and OxO (when he came on) was utterly terrible yet again..

Could work in our favour if they get a good performance against Man Utd and hit the inevitable lull afterwards against us.

(It's what I'd worry about if it was us anyway lol)

I agree...just putting myself in the NickG of the reading forum's shoes...

not sure your point? just because I found your immature demands for adkins sacking disrespectful and lacking of football knowledge. I have enjoyed the threads showing how silly you looked. hopefully you have learned and we can both move on?

They missed 2 out of 5. The secret is to play against a team which misses 3 out of 5.

couple of points from this thread ;

- we aren't really in a position to laugh at Reading support , yes we have taken loads to Hartlepool midweek in recent years but I remember going to sunderland on a bitterly cold Tuesday night in Jan 2003 and there was only 150 odd saints fans there.

- we can't laugh at Arsenal defeat or oxo performance after the way they embarrassed us earlier in the season

It has been interesting watching the slow decline of the Ox

both theo and the Ox made the biggest mistake of their lives, in football terms, going to the Arse a side which likes to pass you to death rather than rely on pace.As with all English players at Arse they get dropped and have to change their game

which merely illustrates my point yesterday that French football in general is rubbish, these were both top goalscorers in Ligue 1.

Anyway I see that O'Neill says that Sunderland are still in trouble....a point which we should keep in mind seeing as we're now a point below them from an equal number of games.
