JackanorySFC Posted 10 December, 2012 Posted 10 December, 2012 Seems like we have a strong side out, a family friend I know is playing and it seems the "big guns" from the U21 squad are being brought in tonight vs Everton. £5 on the gate (£3 concessions). I've watched us a few times in the youth cup, always a decent night and an opportunity to see some future talent.
stevegrant Posted 10 December, 2012 Posted 10 December, 2012 Saints: Johns, Flannigan, McCarthy, Turnbull, Targett, Gape ©, Chambers, Ward-Prowse, Sinclair, Seager, Rowe. Subs: Britt (GK), Colmer, Reed, Higgins, Ariyibi.

Dig Dig Posted 10 December, 2012 Posted 10 December, 2012 0-1, Waring (11') Dodd out! Cortese should just let him pick the team and not interfer imo
Turkish Posted 10 December, 2012 Posted 10 December, 2012 I wonder if Dodd and Cortese will have a 'chat' this week?
Mowgli Posted 10 December, 2012 Posted 10 December, 2012 I just don't understand why they need to bolster the team with u21 players and JWP who is first team squad. The u18s worked as a unit to get the title in their division. Why break up the unit?

JRM Posted 10 December, 2012 Posted 10 December, 2012 I went along, thought we were generally very poor , far too lightweight in midfield and up front , physical Everton side bossed it and we never really troubled their keeper. disappointing really was looking forward to a good cup run. no one really stood out as having potential.
LostBoys Posted 11 December, 2012 Posted 11 December, 2012 I went as well and Everton played 4 5 1 and we were outnumberered in midfield and had 4 defenders marking one lump up front. We could not make a pass in the final third and any finishing and crossing was woeful. The ref had a shocker - we moved in on goal and out forward was body checked by the last defender and he waved it away.
