saintmatt Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 Has run further than ANY OTHER player in the Premier League this season and broke the 100-mile mark against Reading yesterday, thought it was worth a mention! (Source: Opta)
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 Good player, still shocked we kept hold of him and Lallana when we dropped to league
Pugwash Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 I believe it was Pardew who persuaded Adam to stay. Told him that by staying he had the chance to win things that he could look back on in the future, and he was right. Okay, it's not the FA cup or the Premier League title, but not many professional footballers get to have back-to-back promotions and a visit to Wembley on their CVs. A couple of seasons learning their trade in the lower leagues has made them better, more adaptable and tougher footballers than if they had moved three or four years ago. pingwing Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 He's become such a good player, really good passer and tackler which is a big plus in the prem (and a massive luxury lower down). I can only guess a few years of playing every game has done him wonders

I don't disagree it has done them good, but it's hard to argue it was better than moving up the leagues years back when Dyer, Bale, Theo and AOC made that move and are doing well, despite missing out on a lower league education. sammysaint Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 Hes still only 23 and i think hes developing into a decent player, him and Cork are developing a good partnership as holding players this season and i know they have played together before but not in this way, JWP and Davis are much better attacking players, so i feel we need a DM incase one of them get injured again, unless we play Guly there as i feel his style of play may be suited to that role. Lower league or not I'd suggest first team football really helps. If he had gone to Arsenal or any of the "bigger" clubs he might have found himself sat on the bench or rotting in the reserves and may not have realised his potential as early or at all. Dyer, Bale, Theo and AOC are all playing first team football. Though let's be fair I think now Morgan could do a job for many a "bigger" side without doubt ...
