TopGun Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 I really liked Nigel's comment after the game today stating that the players and "all members of staff" will have a christmas party tomorrow. His psychology, understanding and belief is top notch. I can't imagine any other managers making a similar point in a post match interview. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20564808
colehillsaint Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 He is a brilliant bloke. The fans of our club should be so proud that we have stuck by him through a difficult spell, and I think we will reap what we have sown.

colehillsaint Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Shame so many turned on him after an inevitable short run of losses after 2 years success really. Not that many though. You will always get people with another view, and most importantly the support for him at games has been very solid.
Dig Dig Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Shame so many turned on him after an inevitable short run of losses after 2 years success really. No they never turned on Adkins apparently, they were just pointing out all the things he was doing wrong and now that he's doing exactly what they said he should be doing he's good again now
Ziggy Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Shame so many turned on him after an inevitable short run of losses after 2 years success really. Maybe a lot on here turned against him but at the ground (where the actual real fans live) he has always had massive support.
Turkish Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 The fact is that since 'the chat' we've lost one in 6 with 3 wins and 2 clean sheets, you've got to hand it to Nige, when he's left too it, he's a top manager.

saints-cris Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Couldn't be happier to have him in charge. Top manager and comes accross as an absolutely top guy. He's done beyond brilliantly since being here. I want him here for a long, long time.

hypochondriac Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 The players are in for most of Christmas day so I hope this party boosts moral.

Lazlo78 Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 Shame so many turned on him after an inevitable short run of losses after 2 years success really. Didn't spend much time in here during that period, but didn't the polls show 70-80ish% backup for NA from those voting on here?

Yes, but that was out of hundreds voting, which means there were quite a few people who were unhappy with him (although I don't believe for a second this forum is representative of the fanbase). SaintBobby Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 Wld still love to know who is willing to own up to being in the c20% who voted to get rid of him in a poll a few weeks back.
LostBoys Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 This forum is representative of the fanbase - if you ignore all of the well known saddos who post on here and who I do not believe actually go to watch our games. If the poll is still available you might be able to tell who the 20% were but you will find all of the usual culprits and wrist slitters. As I will be accused of being a happy clappy blinkered optimist Adkins luvvie, I think our chances of survival are about 50:50 without reinforcements. Also if we have another poor run and we have a difficult fixture run after Xmas I still think our Nigel will be replaced.
sadoldgit Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 Will the ex programme sellers get an invite? Fair play to Adkins and although I am not a Cortese luvvie fair pla yto him for sticking with Nige.
