BotleySaint Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 So relieved we made it over the line. Dominant performance but lacked that second goal. But a good days work for today. Must improve the finishing though if we are going to survive still.

redkeith Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Enjoyed the last 2 minutes, very relaxed as the score had already come up on SKY. Decent performance, good clean sheet. I was only ever worried about free kicks and corners for them. Out of the bottom 3 and 2 weeks to prepare for the next one.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 UP to 15th and a clean sheet Just about makes up for ref's appalling decision on puncheon's first goal. The keeper had his arms round Yoshida!
Window Cleaner Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Not a classic but we dominated them and ran down trhe clock from a long way out. 15th... can't be bad. Lads deserve a few days off.

Greenridge Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Up to 15th. Makes the comments of a month ago look a bit silly. And two of those spots gained on GD (I think) which was almost unthinkable a few weeks back. Sunderland next.
Smirking_Saint Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Brilliant performance from the lads, it looked to be men vs boys out there, Reading just couldnt deal with anything at all, we had more bite in the middle, probably lacked a proper final ball but we dominated V happy

Window Cleaner Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Just about makes up for ref's appalling decision on puncheon's first goal. The keeper had his arms round Yoshida! Dunno, that Cork tackle in the box could have easily gone Reading's way on another occasion as well.

Edmonton Saint Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 I was like WTF when Guly came on, but must say he looked quite lively in the last 10 minutes and should have scored. Good Win and out of the bottom 3. Another huge game against Sunderland in two weeks..

SaintRobbie Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Well done. Couldve been a higher scoreline as well. Nice seeing Kelvin back, somehow I feel safer! (Never thought I'd say that in this league!) Good 2-2 draw for us - thanks Agent Redknapp.... we need Wigan to fall and QPR to go down!

RobM Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Guess we've adapted to our level now, Shaw looks a vast improvement on Fox and José and Maya look competent now. Agreed, that CB pairing seems to be quite solid now, they're doing the simple things really effectively. They've also found their roles - Fonte gets forward, Yoshi stays back and covers. A good performance today all-round, another clean sheet and most importantly, three points. Not an amazing game, we should have made more of our chances and dominance, but it's hard to grumble too much when you were so dominant.

UpweySaint Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Good to see KD back in and he looked solid, ok not a major test but you can only play whats in front of you. Really happy to see him helping Yosh, imagine the lad needs a bit of support, has not exactly been easy for him to settle. Shaw, again, looks assured and confident. Has really shocked me just how comfortable he has looked! Rodriguez actually looked ok today, worked hard, found some nice space. On another day he'd have had a goal for sure ... Punch again for me looked great! Causes so many problems, especially when a third player comes out to support him and clyne, be it cork or lambert (who was solid as ever!). Only negatives lallana's injury (GULP!) annnnd our fans booing guly. Came on, worked hard, looked good. Credit to those who sung his name when he was on. Like him or not he is one of our players and we should back him when he is on the pitch in the red and pinstripe ...

Saint J 77 Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 I am very pleased with that result.
