Paul Chuckle Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Just wonder what's our max allocation to away fans at SMS is? Reading fan online thinks they brought 4800 down last season but that seems far too many?

alehouseboys Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Awesome. Another thread about ticket allocations and attendances. Tbf the bloke's asked a specific question. It's a max of 3,200 for league matches, 4,200 for cup matches. The most ANY club has bought to SMS is 4,200 (in the cup).
Turkish Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 So reading did not bring 4800 last season? They brought 3200 last season which is the maximum for league games for cup games it goes up to about 4,500. This season their pathetic support has struggled to sell 2500. This season their pathetic support has struggled to sell 2500. Isnt it different in the "Barclays Premier League." 3000 or 10% whichever is the lowest. Unless you are Liverpool or Spurs who only give 2700 on alleged safety grounds?

alehouseboys Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 ...and...for Reading *sarcy-thingy* a couple of thousand travelling aint a bad turnout really for a game 40ish miles away when you consider their 2 nearer games this season and last (Watford and QPR - 35ish miles) saw them only take around 800. Appy Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 If they bought 4800 last season, I must have had loads of Reading fans next to me in Block 42.

Saint Lindford Posted 8 December, 2012 Share Posted 8 December, 2012 Do Dreading actually have 4,800 fans. Most of their PL 'support' is made up of Manu, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea fans who go to watch games.

Unless you are Liverpool or Spurs who only give 2700 on alleged safety grounds? Yes, you are right about that, but only if the away club ask for them, then we have to give them that. In the case of Reading and Wigan where there away support is crap we give them 1700, 2500 or 3200. The clubs would agree the amount and I understand if the visitors take the full allocation but don't sell them they have to pay for the tickets anyway. Hence why Reading took 1700 initwlly then asked for more. I know we got stung when we took the full allocation at Spurs in the early 00s and only sold about 1500 tickets. Michelle Posted 9 December, 2012 Share Posted 9 December, 2012 Absolutely no chance. If they brought 4,800 down, I certainly wouldn't have been in my season ticket seat in 42. They'd have had the entire Northam, and we don't ever get moved for League games. That only happens for Cup matches if full allocation is taken (which is also nowhere near that figure) and, IIRC, has only happened for Man Utd and Pompey Cup games, and the FA Cup 1/4 final in 2003?
