John B Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 (edited) Alan Pardew has lost his job as Charlton manager after the club failed to win for the eighth successive game. I wonder what affect that will have on next week's game at the Valley which I think is a very important game for the Saints probably one of the most important this season. So perhaps other clubs are in worse positions to ours. Edited 22 November, 2008 by John B
GeckoSaint Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 I don't know if that that'll be a good or bad thing for us?
John B Posted 22 November, 2008 Author Posted 22 November, 2008 I don't know if that that'll be a good or bad thing for us? I dont either but it does show that we are not in such a bad situation as Charlton
saintmatt Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 it'll only be a good thing if they haven't appointed a permanent manager by then
Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 I don't know if that that'll be a good or bad thing for us? depends who they eventually appoint. If they go cheap, then we could benefit. They could go for Billy Davies thou and that would be bad news for us.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 Damn. He was doing a great job. For us.
saint lard Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 Charlton have a midweek game against QPR i believe, perhaps they will get to play a reinvigourated charlton and not us,all of course dependant of when they appoint the new gaffer. Who that maybe is anyones guess,i hope it isn't Billy Davies... 1) Because i wouldn't mind him at SFC,i will await incoming for that one. 2)I think he is a prime candidate to be able to turn things around for them.

What about Curbishley ?
saint lard Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 What about Curbishley ? It's a possibility, but somehow doubt it. As i say though,i would prefer it not to be BD.
saintstr1 Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 Definatly Curbs going back according to Talksport

PLEASE take away this cancer (Lowe) and his robot (Jan). ...despite the win today.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 Definatly Curbs going back according to Talksport In their dreams. Phil Parkinson, previously assistant manager, will act as Charlton caretaker on Tuesday, and hopefully Saturday too.
washsaint Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 Saint Robbie - are you a skate or a complete knobber? A fantastic win and you still come out with the same old tripe. You are a one aren't you? Why on earth would you want Pardew over JP? JP is doing reasonably well with the hand he has been dealt and it's been far more entertaining watching Saints this season than for many a season.

CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 it's been far more entertaining watching Saints this season than for many a season. I can only think of 3 possible explanations for the above statement : 1 - you only go to away games 2 - easily pleased 3 - excessive alcohol consumption
Weston Saint Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 A fans view http://www.doctorkish.com/cgi-bin/clinic/display.pl?month=200811&date=20081122&time=2205 Well worth a read. Frankie Valley has been writing good stuff for a long while. Smacks of how I felt last season.
