1st signing in place for January

An interesting one. Maybe Cortese is heeding calls for greater communication and transparency; alternatively, he's hired own spin doctor/master of the black arts and, among other things, a few hush-hush curry evenings with the mods are on the cards.

Why use him when he could probably afford any/all of the girls in Charmed.

Now we need to sign 2 CBs urgently and a keeper next. Great candidate for nr 1 goalie would be Mickaël Landreau who has terminated his contract with Lille and is a free agent now. Gazza is not up to it yet, I must admit. Boruc is unfit and Davies is class below. If we miss on Friedel as AVB is stating then Landreau is a great option for years to come. yes, he is 33, but for the goalie its just the beginning of the blossoming career. worth a try. France NT player btw.

Will he be allowed to commuicate with MLT, now that would be a great piece of PR

Imagine that. "Mr Cortese, your absolute best bit of PR to the SFC fans and stakeholders would be to align yourself with past legends of the club such as Matt Le Tissier."

The P45 would be the quickest served ever.

  • 2 weeks later...

Top effort from Julius so far, there has been a noticable improvement to the clubs twitter feeds and so forth.

Thought Adkins presser yesterday was one his best yet which I'm sure had a lot to do with the influence of Julius working hard behind the scenes.

I will be tweeting him with my thoughts.

Well done Julius, keep up the good work!!!

I wouldnt say Adkins presser yesterday was the most informative, he was bullish in his approach - but there certainly was a clear strategy in how to respond to the questions so Im sure he has been working on a few things with Julius. He hasn't started his role officially but Im sure is influencing already. Looks like another savy appointment.

Excellent marketing stunt creating demand for tickets by claiming the Arsenal game sold out weeks ago when we all know it hasn't. He has an exciting future ahead of him.

Umm - I don't think he has anything to do with that - as you know full well.

Listen mate, don't be negative. The lad Julius has come in and made a difference. The extra revenue generated by the mad ticket scramble for the Arsenal game will already contributed towards paying his salary.

The club can't lose when we have a communications mogul like Julius on board.

Eh? What difference

Perhaps you spend a lot longer on the Internet than I do, but all I noticed was a Facebook 'event' for the Sunderland game which is something I hadn't noticed before. If that's the sort of thing this chap is doing for a salary of £50k a year then it's money for old rope.

He's probably on much more than £50k. Money very well spent based on what I've seen so far.

I agree. He seems to have made an immidiate impact which is great to see. No settling in period, he's grabbed the bull by the horns and i'm sure Cortese is delighted to have someone of his type on board.

Its what everyone thinks. Constantly wumming and trolling on every thread. Julius Duncan hasnt even started in his role FFS!

I'm actually friends with Glasgow Saint, Miltonroader and Sanjay Sanchez if you check my profile so don't assume you speak for everyone.

Well done for hijacking yet another thread with your "facts"

I'm trying to hold myself back from posting this but i've finally snapped.

Most people on this forum are sick to death of your constant trolling and stupid points. You've even managed to ruin this thread which is a pro Cortese one about his great appointment of Julius and the impact he's had before he;s even started.I think it's time that you took a break from here. Every thread descends into the same old thing with you and your band of mates trying to score points and ruining every thread with your silly jokes.

I do post a lot as you will see so as someone that spends a lot of time on this forum and pays my fiver i'm entitled to say what i want. It's time the mods took action about you and your friends with your purile nonenses. People are sick of it. It's people like you that are the reason why the good posters dont come on here anymore adn i can see why!

See look what you've made me do, i tried hard not to post this but i was so angry i couldn't help myself. This place is a serious football forum, i suggest you go and support another team if you dont like it you troll!

Troll.

Just reading through this thread and others, your self righteous post summed up how I feel about you (some times) now stop getting your handbags out - its embarrassing, you give it large all the time, and if you can't take a bit back then that's not my fault is it??

Basically, considering the 3 of you are all (i presume) grown men.... do you not think you should grow a pair rather than having a flapping at each other on an online football forum. God know's what other clubs think of us....

Rather than posting about other people and whinging about them ruining threads you actually post something constructive yourself? Or is that beyond you?

I don't think I am usually guilty of that.

In contrast, I looked into this thread thinking it was an interesting transfer story. Its not lets be honest. I scrolled down though, reading what I thought was a interesting discussion about the club interacting with the fans. It's not that either.

What it is is a selection of the usual WUMS sat around taking the **** and looking for a bite (which you've managed several of - hi 5!) before turning into a slagging match with handbags at dawn. Its boring, and your post initial post I replied to summaries this perfectly.... well put!

As for this new "transfer" I've not noticed any changes with the club, but then that isn't surprising if he doesn't start until January is it really? Anyway, I'm done intervening in this teenage spat, if the MODS don't step in then what is the point of bothering yourself on this forum. All you get for it is being called a troll by people who are trolling - flapping time!!!

Posters seem much more interested in discussing each other than the topic. If you want to do that please use the excellent PM system, otherwise stay on topic.

Thank you Chalet. Im glad you've stepped in to do this. There are a few threads about like this at the moment where people are talking about me, then blaming me for ruining threads. Prehaps you could take them in hand as well.

I kind of switched off 2.5 minutes into the video of his big performance when he suggested the use of social media to find out what customers are thinking. Surely it's pretty straightforward understanding what football supporters (customers) want?!? They want to see their team win as many games as possible and they want to see that happen for a reasonable price. Some want half-decent beer and food on offer.

Why do you need to employ an expensive expert in 'social media' to find that out FFS?! Bah-humbug!

There are many threads like this, with lots of different posters, you appear to be the constant. Anyway back to topic please.
