Dont believe it, I get slammed for perceived negative opportunistic threads about our players, purchasing in the future/speculation is perceived to be positive so seen as journalism Sopel/Adie/Thompson should be proud of, nice and even sided then.........................

cant workout if you are just a strange person or you have difficulties in putting together a comprehensible sentence.

Another good step.

It seems to get forgotten that the "5 year plan" that was mooted at the time of Cortese and Markus' arrival was encompassing the turn around of the entire club from top to bottom, including the staff, renovation of the stadium, redevelopment of the training ground AND getting back to the Prem.

Correct for both to be honest and start your sentence with a capital as we are having grammar lesson's.

Good signing, we beat of European competition for Duncan, and he is a young, hungry professional. We just need to give him time to develop.

Shouldn't we be aiming for proven ability at this level though? Can't help but to feel we are taking a huge gamble with this signing but there is no doubt potential.

More to the point I wonder if he has a "must play" clause in his contract?

Good to see that Fitzhugh now has some competition in the Duncan stakes however. Healthy competition is good for maximising performance.

I'm cautious of anyone called Duncan.

An interesting one. Maybe Cortese is heeding calls for greater communication and transparency; alternatively, he's hired own spin doctor/master of the black arts and, among other things, a few hush-hush curry evenings with the mods are on the cards.

Are you using some sort of code that needs deciphering?

The difference between this article and your rumour mill ramblings, is that this is an article from a respected source, subsequently also reported on the OS, not something that was texted to you by a mate.

Otherwise, I must confess that media relations and communications did need improvement, so a step in the right direction.

Hopefully his first action will be saying to Cortese: "You know what; we're really missing a trick not engaging properly with the local media. Let's sort that out, shall we?".

Somehow I think that is rather unlikely, though.

Executive Chairman Nicola Cortese commented: "The appointment of a senior Director of Communications is an essential part of the ambitious plans we have for the Club and reflects our commitment to excellent communication with all stakeholders".

Have they been waiting to fill this role before they even bother to attempt to communicate effectively with all stakeholders!

He could start by sorting out the web site, so we don't have to "enter"...we can just look at it

Second job could be to "communicate" why the ticket office needs to charge £1.50 for every ticket bought by debit card when the payment takes place in one transaction e.g. 3 tickets in one payment = 3 x debit card fees?

Thirdly he can explain our transfer policy / decision making

Welcome

Only on loan. Can't move permanently until the summer. Interesting the OS didn't say the length of contract.

With this arrival, can we ship Sibley off to the skates.

Never really get what the problem is with him? Seems to just be doing his job?

I get the feeling that some people are jealous he gets the inside scoop on everything to do with the club.

At least two prolific posters here applied for his job and didnt even get an interview. Its just the usual snipey rubbish.

At least two? Oooh, names, this is interesting!

But he'll be worth more because he's young and has a great potential.

Barry,

Sorry but you lose the argument by repeating the unnecessary apostrophe!

Apostrophe either show emissions or show possesion but not plurals!

Indeed ;)

That's why I didn't even bother replying.

think some form of punctuation would be necessary between "whatever and I'm" Baz

experts ??

Or a comma between the two 'ams'.

Barry may be unsure of his species, but still likes to look smart.

I think that's commendable.

Watched it all the way through. He seems a very capable guy, knowledgeable in his subject and a good communicator. I'll be very interested to see what he can bring to us in terms of customer satisfaction and brand awareness.
