Saintandy666 Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 Sorry if this has been posted before, but quite interesting... Home Form - http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/home.html 24th out of 24 with just 6 points from 9 games. Away Form - http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/away.html 6th out of 24 with 13 points from 9 games. If our home form matched our away form, we'd be 11th right now(2 points off play-offs), probably higher because points from people who have beaten us at home would be taken away from them and given to us. So, the question is, what is wrong with saints playing at home?

Saintandy666 Posted 22 November, 2008 Author Posted 22 November, 2008 The system we are playing at home seems to leave the lone striker isolated Exactly what I thought and mentioned on a thread earlier on in the week. We can't play defensive at home and leave McGoldrick stranded, he could be really good at this level, but he's the kind of player who needs someone to play off.
Manchester John Posted 22 November, 2008 Posted 22 November, 2008 I don't think it's down to systems - more like fear of failure. At every away match, even Preston where we were 2-0 down at half-time, the grumblings were kept on the concourses, support on the terraces is unwavering.
