Joe Kirkup Posted 3 December, 2012 Posted 3 December, 2012 Have decided to stay down after the Reading game Sat and as it has been 20 odd years since I had a night out in the old place was wondering if anyone could let me have some ideas on places to go etc. Me and Mrs JK will want a bite to eat then maybe a late bar? Cheers in advance
Thedelldays Posted 3 December, 2012 Posted 3 December, 2012 if with the missus...maybe head towards oxford street...?
FloridaMarlin Posted 3 December, 2012 Posted 3 December, 2012 Bad news, I'm afraid, the Top Rank Suite is no longer there.
Sour Mash Posted 3 December, 2012 Posted 3 December, 2012 Go to the Platform Tavern, then along Oxford Street, best you'll get in Southampton really. Where you staying?
Joe Kirkup Posted 3 December, 2012 Author Posted 3 December, 2012 Staying at the Park Hotel Cumberland Place, so pretty central.
buctootim Posted 3 December, 2012 Posted 3 December, 2012 Staying at the Park Hotel Cumberland Place, so pretty central. Dont mean to be a damp squib but the Park is not great. If I was you and could cancel without penalty Id go for one of the Premier inns, much better and probably for less money

Premier inn, holiday inn and jurys inn so much better. I'd even prefer to stay in the etap or ibis tbh. As for the night out, platform tavern and oxford street is as good as it gets.
Joe Kirkup Posted 4 December, 2012 Author Posted 4 December, 2012 Thanks for the advice on the hotel guys, think I'll cancel and book another. Should have asked here first
