Swansea_Saint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Am leaving sky as I've just realised it has reached nearly £60 a month for basic tv ( no movies or sports) broadband (which is approx 1.5 Mb) and phone. However unfortunately we are not in a cabled area otherwise would go for Virgin Media. Anybody have any opinions on any other provider or any decent deals you kind folks may have??
stu0x Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Go to samknows.com and choose the Exchange Checker. Stick your postcode in and it will tell you which providers have LLU enabled at your exchange. These will be the ones that you will get the best deals from. Anyone else will only be able to sell you a BT Wholesale Connect product (ie BT ADSL rebranded), so you'll never get it cheap.
buctootim Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 (edited) Ive got BT - £13pm plus line rental (£10pm if you pay in advance). Advertises as up to 16mb but I actually get 17mb after they upgraded something a couple of months ago. A lot of the so called cheaper deals arent really when you add everything up, especially if you need a router (free from BT). http://www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/ Edited 1 December, 2012 by buctootim
Thedelldays Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Never had a problem with virgin Cable broadband too

dingbattigger Posted 2 December, 2012 Posted 2 December, 2012 Used to be with BT but without warning they suddenly upped the monthly payment by almost £10. When challenged they could neither explain nor justify it so told them to sod off.
