itchen Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 oops, so it was lol!! had other things on my mind Plastic.
(not THE) Kevin Moore Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Any team news??? Ramirez?? He's probably a bit busy preparing to answer your team news questions...
Stu Man Do Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Adam Blackmore on twitter saying he expects Ramirez to be on the bench and mentions injuries to change the team so possibly shaw as mentioned on here? I'm half expecting to see Boruc pop up as well.
BARCELONASAINT Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Starting to have a bad feeling about today if Ramirez and Shaw are out. Probably just nerves getting the better of me because this is such an important game for us.

ollysaints1 Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 I dont think people should be too worried, most expected Ramirez to be out and Shaw's injury will give Fox a chnace to show he shouls be in the starting XI. Be positive!!
Window Cleaner Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 I Be positive!! I am positive, always am until the game starts....then, well it depends. I must be one of the few to have thought we looked OK last week, bit more punch in front of goal and we would have got something.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Worse thing for Adkins to do today is to make unforced team changes when there could be 1 or 2 out naturally anyway. Don't want to be in position where nearly half the team are not used to playing with each other in what is a hugely important game. I just hope that Gaston is OK to start and that the Shaw issue is one they're keeping close to their chests - if it's true he's out then expect Fox to start.
Avenue Saint Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 I'd have reeves over fox if Shaw is out.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 I'd have reeves over fox if Shaw is out. I wouldn't. Don't see him as a LB let alone a PL LB. Fox please. Reeves was clueless vs Everton and especially Norwich.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 If we revert to 442 I will be more nervous our chances of winning however not sure we have adequate replacement for ramirez. He could put lallana in that role and bring in mayuka to play on the right with JP switching to the left. Davis has good shot on him but not sure he has the craft to play that role. 442 more likely I think with jayrod coming in.
the wedge Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 K. Davis, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Shaw, Puncheon, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana ©, Lambert, Rodriguez.
Edmonton Saint Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 K. Davis, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Shaw, Puncheon, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana ©, Lambert, Rodriguez. Not particularly enamoured with that starting XI to be honest. Would have put Boruc in goal, and if Ramirez is fit enough to be on the bench, he should be fit enough to start.
CB Fry Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 K. Davis, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Shaw, Puncheon, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana ©, Lambert, Rodriguez. Not our very best eleven but enough there to beat Reading at home. No excuses.
Avenue Saint Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 I wouldn't. Don't see him as a LB let alone a PL LB. Fox please. Reeves was clueless vs Everton and especially Norwich. Thought he did a composed job v Norwich.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Thought he did a composed job v Norwich. Must've been watching a different game to me!! If Gazza is out, I'd rather have Kelvin in. But watch the near post...
JoeShmoe Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 If Ramirez is good enough to be on the bench he should be playing, far and away our most technically gifted player

Reeves was clueless vs Everton and especially Norwich. agrees/w saint armstrong. Reeves was miles out of his depth when he came on against norwich, definitely one for the future but Foxys the better option by far at the moment.
ToreSF Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Not particularly enamoured with that starting XI to be honest. Would have put Boruc in goal, and if Ramirez is fit enough to be on the bench, he should be fit enough to start. Don't agree with that. If he is 80% fit, he is fit enough to play 30-40 min, but not the whole match. He came back from Uruguay yesterday (?), so guess he has a bit of jet lag. Also he hasn't trained with the team this week.

Window Cleaner Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Also he hasn't trained with the team this week. can't quite see what difference that makes.
InvictaSaint Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Is Gazza injured? Shoulder injury picked up v LFC according to club.
Window Cleaner Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Reading will steamroller us. that would be unfortunate then
Red Alert Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 I would have thought this a good game to "re-integrate" Boruc back into the first team. With Davis starting I would bet we have seen the last we will see from Boruc.
Hamilton Saint Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Reading will steamroller us. Wake up Maggie, I think I got something to say to you ...
Saints Fan Dan Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Christ I hope we smash those undeserving champions today (not bitter at all nope).
studentsaint Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 If Ramirez is good enough to be on the bench he should be playing, far and away our most technically gifted player Don't agree. He went home due to unfortunate circumstances and returned yesterday. Adkins may have him on the bench as he isn't sure of his mental state. If he needs him, I think it will be more obvious as to whether he is up for having an impact on this game or if even during the game his head isn't in it.
THEVMAN Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 One outfield change and people are saying the team looks weak and we`re going to get steam rollered, what a bunch of crying bastards

studentsaint Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Got a feeling we may see Mayuka for Rodriguez as the second half progresses. Would love to see him off of Lamberts flicks.
ProDirectSaints Posted 8 December, 2012 Posted 8 December, 2012 Guly? What on earth... Was hoping to see Mayuka come on also
