S-Clarke Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Worrying as Liverpool are not even one of "the bigger sides". This is not the Liverpool of old, very average team at the moment. Clear that 3 games in 6 days is beyond us. Its usually good to keep unchanged side, but this week was one of the times when we could have done with a bit of squad rotation. To be fair, they're still light years better than us in terms of personal - in my opinion. We need to focus on the likes of QPR/norwich/Reading, sunderland etc.
Thedelldays Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 suarez off the bar,,, agger scores all to very easy this is like saints of 2 months ago... just hope we dont get thrashed
S-Clarke Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Well they've finally got it. 2nd half we've just got to keep the score down. Can't see any sort of reply from us on this first half.

Chez Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 ****ing tackle him Yoshida...no just jockey as always 1-0. ****.
CanadaSaint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 We need to start competing higher up the pitch - it's like we've been set up to avoid getting whacked.
Mr X Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 All the makings of a thrashing they should be five or six nil up but we will be better second half I hope!
badgerx16 Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Can't blame Gazza for that one I suspect some might.
trousers Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Time to give Mayuka a crack of the whip now in 2nd half
VectisSaint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 To be fair, they're still light years better than us in terms of personal - in my opinion. Don't see it myself, apart from Suarez and possibly Gerrard (who is way past his best), they really are lacking in any real talent. IMHO.
Jonnyboy Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Clyne pushes up and gets tight and it works, but then no pressure on the next ball. When we press teams buckle, when we sit back they run riot. Yep. We are a bit of an all or nothing team it seems.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 How the f*** was that a foul against Reina
Thedelldays Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 maybe we need to make a few subs....freshen it up a but...mayuka for puncheon maybe.......davis for ramirez
S-Clarke Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 If Yoshida is going to continue to fluff every single clearance, he needs to go. Doing my head in. In terms of reading the game and positioning, he's pretty sound. But his heading distances and distribution leave alot to be desired.
Chez Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 crap from shaw, crap from Yoshida and almost 2. Lambert great effort
Zurichsaint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Reina gets free kick for falling over...? At Anfield... yep
davefoggy Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 maybe we need to make a few subs....freshen it up a but...mayuka for puncheon maybe.......davis for ramirez lol
Thedelldays Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 lambert almost copied that goal against MK Dons.....nothing from the corner.. HT we just look tired...and very very much 2nd best...Fonte has done well IMO..but need to freshen it up IMO
Sheaf Saint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 I understand Lambert is obviously desperate to get a goal against Liverpool, but he needs to be a bit less greedy. OK we got a corner out of that long range one just now, but he had better options, just like he did when he hit that fee kick earlier.
Bensfcno1 Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Yes yoshida shoulda put pressure on the ball but Fonte has to mark better than that FFS! almost a class reply from Ricky from 40 yards! Cmn saints we are better than this! Still chances to come, let's hope we take them!
CanadaSaint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 The good thing is that we can make some adjustments at half time that could change this around, because - despite how that half looked - we can play with them. But we need to be far more effective in midfield. Morgan really needs to step up.
trousers Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Did Gnigga save the first effort? No, hit bar I think. He had it covered though...
Jonnyboy Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 (edited) read some of the threads..many actually believe we are a match for them on the pitch Ffs you've been banging on all week about how our players should be in the England team ahead of theirs. Gimp. Edited 1 December, 2012 by Jonnyboy
Katalinic Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Battered and lucky to be only 1-0. Sometimes we need to hoof the ball out of defence rather than trying tippy tappy stuff. Oh and our left hand side is totally exposed as per most games this season.
MOSaint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Absolutely dire...Lallana, Ramirez & puncheon ****, cork and morgan getting out battled in midfield and Shaw doing a good danny fox impression.
saint_disco123 Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 well that was bloddy dire, no pace and no passion! get mayuka on with some speed to run at them! but then again this is what you exspect when you spend 6-7 mill on a striker WHO DOESNT EVEN PLAY rather then investing in defence. **** you reed
obelisk Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Powder puff in the tackle. How is it only 1-0?
captainchris Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Gaston just tries to do a little too much at times for me, and often loses the ball in the process. This is true he is not as good as his press has been....
Thedelldays Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Ffs you've been banging on all week about how our plays should be in the England team ahead of theirs. Gimp. lallana ahead of shelvey...I will always think that
Ohio Saint Posted 1 December, 2012 Posted 1 December, 2012 Only 1 down. A turnaround is possible after half time. Bloody unlikely, but possible.
