Sell for 10m in Jan or 5m in June/july Well Lambert is leaving as he didn't join in with a goal celebration during the QPR game and imagine Lallana will be off to fulfil his England ambitions, so selling Ramirez would leave us short. ToreSF Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 As I agree that this is a no story, I'm pretty sure Ramirez would be one of the first to leave if we go down.

St Lej Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Non story, simply because it's a slightly negative one. Had he said he would like to end his career at saints then it would have been a superb article and brilliant journalism

Turkish Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Its an interview for an Italian website. What is he supposed to say - "I was glad to leave and I'd never consider going back"?. can we flip that kind of logic and use it in cases that dont suit us, such as when NIge is asked what his relationship is like with the chairman? Do we use the of course he said it's great what else is he supposed to say, or do we only use this when it suits us?

Do we use the of course he said it's great what else is he supposed to say, or do we only use this when it suits us? Take a look at what other people see. Attempting to put a negative slant on every aspect looks desperate. Strangely enough this is a Saints fans site. Objectively Saints arent the best, richest, highest placed, most silverware, most glamorous, best managed, best directed, team with best player (s) , best ground, best dressed fans, hottest pies, best range of Belgian bottled beer ad inifitum. So what? Normal people with social skills turn a blind eye to their friends / family / spouses shortcomings. They turn them into positives, they love them anyway. The person trying to get a reaction from somebody by constantly criticising their clothes, girlfriend, teams director or whatever is the saddo - not tyher guy who liked Sammy the Saint or wore Primark jeans . Gaston said what any normal person would say in the circumstances - he was diplomatic and didnt criticise. Give it a go. You might find life suddenly works a whole lot better for you. Turkish Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Take a look at what other people see. Attempting to put a negative slant on every aspect looks desperate. Not at all Timothy, on the original post on this on another thread i said its a non story and nothing to see here, just saying he might go back there at some time in the future. You were the one that brought up the "what else is he to say" point. Im just questioning if we can use this reasoning in other situations, such as when Adkins is asked what his relationship with the chairman. Can we or not? student Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 There no chance he'll be at the club for too long, I'd say a maximum of two more seasons after this year. But will make you a good profit and win you a lot of points along the way.

BlakeySFC Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Hot weather, herociously fit birds, great football clubs and fantastic food, who wouldn't want to go back to Italy!
suewhistle Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Hmmm. Crap economy and getting worse, poor crowds, poor (and dishonest) clubs, many Ultra fans are criminal c****. Food's good but oh for a bit of variety occasionally, and the meat is definitely better in the UK and Uruguay. As for women, difficult for me to comment, but after a certain age they aren't herociously fit, although there is a section of the local state A road where I've been told you can find a few um.. heroes. On the way to our last away game there was a stretch of road over about 1 to 2 k where there were 5 or 6 ladies with short skirts waiting for er... buses. The weather was also cold and damp so, Blakey, I'd be a bit more realistic! :-) But like everywhere, there are always positives and negatives. Content free journalism: it's a great job to have. SNOWY Posted 1 December, 2012 Share Posted 1 December, 2012 He clearly considers Saints a stepping stone to bigger things. Not a problem as long as he gives it his all on the pitch and we eventually get the fee we want.
Turkish Posted 1 December, 2012 Share Posted 1 December, 2012 Are you gonna link everything to Cortese? You seem to be making a damn good go at it thus far. This was just an example as recently when Adkins said that he and the chairman get on and he chooses the tactics it was PROOF that all those that suggested this might not be the case were talking sh*t, when it was suggested, like in This instance, what else do you expect him to say? That was dismissed, yet now it seems we are expected to use this logic and accept these comments using the same 'what else do you expect him to say?' argument that was so readily dismissed only a few weeks ago.
