"I must admit I'd have to look at it again on whether it's a free-kick," said Hughton. "I thought they got quite a few free-kicks, certainly earlier in the game."

Chris Hughton, Norwich Manager, says that today (or perhaps after the game) about the free-kick that lead to our first goal.

Correct me if I´m wrong, but wasn´t that our FIRST freekick of the game and in the 32nd minute....??!!

That's what I thought and was the reason most of the crowd stood up and gave ironic applauds to Clattenburg for Finally daring to award us a free kick

"It was certainly handball," Hughton told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"I think it was difficult for the referee because they worked a very good block and the ball bounces in an area where there's a lot of bodies."

FWIW it was handball and would be ****ed off if against us....but the highlighted part makes it sound like we planned it!

I think most people felt that Clattenburg had been harshly treated - I listened to that idiot Mick Dennis from the Express this morning on SSN

who was praising Clattenburg for his fitness and saying he made less mistakes than Saints goalkeeper!

Well if he had watched him he would of seen that most of his decisions were made so far from the action they were a joke...for both sides.

Gaston got a free kick after he slipped and fell against Bassongs knee!

My lad does a lot of reffing and it was something we both mentioned how far from play he was.....of course the 2 walking specsavers adverts as assistants

didn't help!

What a joke. The only reason the ball reached Lambert was because Fonte took a massive shove in the back from Holt. Could easily have been a pen.

Clattenberg was abysmal. Which saints lad was it who had a canary climbing over him bearsy/tokyo style, and got a free kick against us? Like Give it to ron says above, if he performs like that in a manure or citeh game he's going to get crucified afterwards. I thought he was awful throughout.

Two free-kicks in the first half for Saints. 7-2 behind on FK count at half time. Stats were on the screens in the concourse, and I also remember cheering both free-kicks long and loud.

Lambert got jumped on by their number 24, Clattenburg indicated Lambert had pushed him, despite facing in the opposite direction and being oblivious to the defender's existence until he landed on his back at great force.

This. I was so wrapped up screaming for a penalty that I missed the goal go in.

It was evident in the replay of the goal from in amongst our fans that Saints fans were appealing for a penalty when the ball went in. I actually thought there was a handball by a Norwich player first, but there wasn't.
