hamster Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 I have had a broken jaw before..... That is sure to come as no surprise to many on here IMO
Wiltshire Saint Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 I heard on the radio that 5 people were arrested due to these events. I am sure someone posted on here that there were more than 5 people invloved though? What's going on?Is this another example of a small minority of mindless thugs getting away with murder (don't take that literally lol!)? You really have to question some of the methods the police deploy to manage football crowds. I think someone on here was moaning a while ago about being treated like a criminal when going to an away game.....well this is the reason why. If people learnt to behave in a sensible way and to enjoy the game (and result!) then we wouldn't need heavy handed policing and families could enjoy football without fear of this kind of mindless violence. Best wishes to the victims and their kin.
jawillwill Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 Yeah Whooooosh! LOL! This phrase has been used a lot on this thread. What does it mean? Is it yoof slang for "I kicked a mother and daughters head in at the game and scared them half to death"? People like you make me sick Robsk. I hope the club take serious action and ban you for life.
Ewell Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 Mods when will you start to lock threads like this? It is so obviously the usual suspects trying to make fun at other forum member’s expense. It is why I will never pay £5 and why this forum has become tiresome. The same idiots are still here despite your new policy of charging for the privilege!
Kadeem Hardison Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 If this is a lie, it is in pretty bad taste. The ambulance service works tirelessly and does an amazing job. When hoaxes like this come along it is only ever at the cost of the general public and the taxpayer. Those ambulances could have been saving someone's life yesterday rather than following up on this prank call. This is worse than those idiots Brand and Ross. Whoever called them should be ashamed of themselves. If it was you, think about this: someone may have died because of your actions yesterday.
View From The Top Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 Usual c o c ks, Wiltshire, Tiggs and Finch. No doubt that they will be giggling to each other on a World of Warcraft forum or something equally geek filled.
Robsk II Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 I think that's a little harsh. Surely some people might well have read the title and genuinely misinterpreted it? I mean, it's clear that many have been quite sarcastic about this, but other may have been serious.

Dalek2003 Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 I am now totally convinced in my opinion that many posters do not actually read the posts that they are commenting on or perhaps the post that the comment is commenting on - if you see what I mean!!!!! It was definitely a penalty !
Wiltshire Saint Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 I will not be paying my £5 subsription again after the way people have acted on this thread. This thread is everything that is wrong with this forum and society as a whole. It is NOT funny to make prank calls. It is NOT funny to tell people that some fans were hospitalised after the game (I didn't go the game but had family members that went and when I read this I got really worried. I rang them to find out if they were ok, but there was no answer. I naturally assumed the worst, rang the Reading hospitals and conctacted the rest of the family, but it turns out the person had just not heard their phone going off and they were ok). It is NOT funny to waste the time and resources of the emergency services. It is NOT acceptable to start throwing insults about when talking about other forum members (as some have done).
costasaint Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 FFS,are there a lot of thick people or here or didn't they actually read the 1st post?
Ludwig Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 Why do you have child porn on your PC? And worse yet, why are you sharing it online? You are disgusting, I bet you were one of the perpetrators of the horrible violence that took place yesterday after the football. You truly are a vile specimen of man.
sperm_john Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 this entire thread is just rediculous, the origional guy was joking, and so were the posters that followed by making out they thought some actual trouble had happened, and the rest of you are just dumb for not realising the above! ...thank you

Atticus Finch of Maycomb Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 any news about the people involved? or are they still in hospital?

Atticus Finch of Maycomb Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 i guess they will mention it on south today anyway
rpb Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 i just dont believe it.... It was a bit like all those Americans who were convinced that Obama is a Muslim.
dubai_phil Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 It was a bit like all those Americans who were convinced that Obama is a Muslim. What? Are you saying this violence was orchestrated from the US? I thought it came from us? Is this some new CIA conspiracy to undermine the efficiency of the overworked NHS. Post facts if you must make ITK statements like this, EoA's wife could be in therapy for months after what happened yesterday. this is just plain WRONG
Plumstead_Saint Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 This phrase has been used a lot on this thread. What does it mean? LOL = laughing out loud Woosh = the sound of something going over someone's head. Clearly this thread went over your head..and several others...meaning that you did not understand it. Perhaps if people actually read what was written, rather than just making a knee jerk reaction to what YOU THINK it is about, then others wouldn't feel the need to take the mickey. The original post was quite funny; others have continued the theme as a result of the "knee-jerks" - whether they have gone too far is a matter of taste. HTH

Calvin Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 People are too stupid to realize that 95 percent of the posters on this thread are being sarcastic. Can one understand sarcasm. By the way, everyone read the thread, except for Jawillwill.
St Chalet Posted 23 November, 2008 Posted 23 November, 2008 Congratulations to the OP for hijacking the traditional 'bother after the game' thread with some brilliant irony / sarcasm. Moral of the story, read the thread not the title. A modern day H.G. Wells :-)
LVSaint Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Should that not be 5.2k miles away? I am assuming LV = Las Vegas. Yes. But I wish it was 52K right now!!1!1 Saints? More like sinners..etc,...

By the way, everyone read the thread, except for Jawillwill. Yep you are of course correct. I simply can't believe that this thread has descended into complete and utter madness simply because I failed to read the first post. I'm beginning to feel like a right plonker! P.s. Thanks for the help with 'lol'. I have genuinely never known what that's supposed to stand for.

jawillwill Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 I don't think you've read this thread properly. Would this be an appropriate time for me to say "whoooooosh" or "lol"? I think I'm getting the hang of this newfangled craze of e-talk.
