Ekelund24 Posted 29 November, 2012 Share Posted 29 November, 2012 Problem is we have three keeper all at about the same average level, all of whom can play at this level but not consistently. Gazza has an upside in that he is young and could improve given time but would benefit from a couple of years loaned out. When we had our best Premiership years we had a keepers of a much higher standard I would even rate Paul Jones much higher than the current three. I would personally loan Friedel in Jan to cover the last 5 months of the season, cut the Boruc contract and scout for a high level keeper for next season. The Friedel idea is a good one even with a clause NOT to play him when we play The Jews at The Sty. I reckon he'll give Boruc another chance to claim the No.1 slot against Liverpool. Boruc has got the experience and he's the right age to be very good for us.
