The Kraken Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Love reading their forums, most of their fans still think they are a footballing powerhouse and should be top 4. Truth is, while well supported the team isnt as strong as they thing as they have players like Henderson, Downing and Shelvey in their first 11 regularly. The sad fact is, other fans do too. Ive already seen a couple of posts writing off this game and saying we should focus on the teams around us. Liverpool are in the bottom half FFS and misfiring with a new manager. They're ripe for having a go at.

Armchair Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Comparing the spine of each team there isn't that much between them imo: Reina just as liable to make mistake as any of our keepers. Both defences are weak. Gerrad no longer the great player he once was so Cork and Morgan will be match for him and Allen. Lambert will give their defenders a hard time and Ramirez has class to make difference. Yes Suarez is top quality but if we can isolate him then we will stand a great chance in getting something from game.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Perhaps to even up the keepers we could take some beachballs to through into the penalty area?

JackanorySFC Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Liverpool's Red and white kop forum is notoriously mental, there's a twitter account called RAWK_meltdown (or similar) that tweets the more loony posts on their such as "I genuinely think Downing could be as bigger player for us as Giggs has been to United over the next 5 seasons" and loads of their FA/ Fergie conspiracy theories. I clocked onto it during the Suarez affair and have followed the Meltdown geezer since.
redder freak Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Just seen Morgan's interview. He reckons we can win! Although he has a lot of respect for Steven Gerrard. He said he might ask him for his shirt if we win. Otherwise maybe not, apparently Morgan is a bad loser and will just want to get off the pitch quickly. tajjuk Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 holy christ we wont isolate suarez by the way...there is a reason why he is so good Need to wind him up maybe he will kick someone and get sent off. Would have him in a heart beat, along btoh centrebacks, Reina and Gerrard. The rest of the team is a bit 'meh' some good players but the table doesn't lie, they are only four points better of than us. The only teams they have beaten so far are Wigan, Reading and Norwich. Dig Dig Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012  He's gone a little OTT but they have only won the same amount of games as us despite having players like Suarez in the side. They are obviously not at this point streets ahead of us.

You have been ridiculed for this post but I think you are not far off tbf. there seems to be a perception on here that liverpool are streets ahead of us in terms of quality. they are a mid table team as proven by there 8th place finish last season and current position this season. they are undeniably still a massive club in terms of fan base and history but they have been in decline since finishing 2nd in 08/09 season. I do actually think they will beat us but it will be a competitive game, probably just a single goal being the difference in it. we have 3-4 players that would almost certainly improve them being lambert, ramirez, lallana and even shaw. enrique is gash to the point even their version of Guly Do Prado (Downing) has played at leftback in front of him previously. UpweySaint Posted 30 November, 2012 Share Posted 30 November, 2012 Sitting right on the fence at 2-2. Its a goal with games. Imho they will be expected to come at us at home and this should create the kind of space our front four love to work in. If morgan and cork have good games and we have no definsive/keeping calamities i'd even go so far as to modestly predict a 2-1 win ... RL will be well up for smashing one in so I wouldn't be surprised to see him score from a set piece!

As much as I want Saints to Win tomorrow I can see it be 3-1 Liverpool with Lambert/Lalanna/Ramirez for Saints and Suarez, Gerrard and Skrtel/Johnson for Liverpool But We'l See...!!! I would also Stick with the same team that played v Norwich and Hopefully the Referee will be On His Game too I Hope...!!! Bring It On!!! COYR!!!
