Barry Sanchez Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 Thought Schnierderlin and Cork were poor tonight, you have to have one of them push on to offer a runner going forward. Ricky needs to start getting a few of those snap shots on target, he would have scored that last year. Like to see Ramirez be a little more direct as well, run at the back 4 sometimes and get them back peddling. Thought Bassong was excellent, wish we would have gone for him We should of got him with Dawson and or Davies, we got Yoshida.
Dr Who? Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 I love it when people say things like 8 points out of 12 or 4 games unbeaten, what about 12 points out of a possible 42 . As it clearly shows we are improving, and getting the defence together. But as I said a long long way to go, but a huge improvement. 1-1 1-3 2-0 1-1 Lose Win Win Played 17, 18 points by Christmas...... And probably out the bottom 3. I would have settled for this on the 5th November.
Smirking_Saint Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 Can he handle the pressure in a home fixture where the home and aways fans have taken valium? No, so I dont think he will do very well at Anfield. Well you are a new and exciting little bag of sunshine arent you ? corky morris Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 (edited) Not great tonight. Team looked tired. Shocking goal to concede. I don't think we won a second ball all game. Ref rubbish too. We don't seem to get the rub from any of them this season. Thought Morgan was poor tonight. Puncheon a little bit better. Rickie was moaning a lot at Gazza for hs kicks, but was not great either. Either Shaw or Clyne for mom. pangy Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 How can we keep Gazza in goal for Anfield,he makes so many errors, keeper tells the players how many in a wall, keeper sets up the wall, he messed up on both and to top it of he lets in a daisycutter under his body!!! The defence do not seem that keen on him either, did you see when Fonte had the chance to pass it back but instead tried to take it into the corner??? why didnt he pass it back? crap defending or no confidence in the keeper???? Halo Stickman Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 Keep Gazza in goal for Anfield I think, it will be a great experience for him, in a game I expect very little. Can he handle playing in a stadium heaped in tradition and in front of the Kop. If he makes some good saves it could make him! I take your point but fear Liverpool will target him. Any more mistakes could do serious harm to his career

It wasn't clicking for gaston and we didn't have the rub of the green today. Nc, for god's sake, on the 1st of Jan you need to drop a significant number of millions on a decent keeper. Yes of course we could lose them all, probably a lot more likely than winning them all. But if, if we can beat Reading and Sunderland it has an added bonus of dragging them right in.... Saying that Liverpool are not to far off, and terrible at home. Dr Who? Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 Well that is kind of obvious compared to our previous games, thanks for a great uplifting experience......................................... It is like an alien has landed on earth, this is football, there are stats all over the place. We are having a nice little run, and I think with the start to the season we have had, we should really look for the positives in the run. Not a ad turn around really. S-Clarke Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 Not a bad result, deserved on the pattern of play. I knew this game would be totally different to the Newcastle and QPR games, for a start Norwich close down - they get in your faces, and they press high up the pitch. In the last 2 games we've had the luxury of playing 2 teams who didn't do that, and we were allowed to dominate the midfield and pickup the ball in gaps of space. When the opposition press like Norwich did tonight, we do seem a little lacking in idea's at times. I think at 1-0 we were in control, but the goal just changed the game. Another avoidable goal really, not from any defensive mistake (we had a decent shape to us again) - just a horrible GK mistake, really, really amateurish. He's young, he's learning, but he's got to be flaming better than that. I don't care how old he is, his job is to do his best to keep the ball out of the net. That was embarrassing. So after that point Norwich just closed it out really, they threatened a bit more and we had a few panicky moments, but I sense they were happy with a draw to be honest - especially in the closing stages. A few cogs in our side were a little jaded, Morgan looked tired, Gaston was the same, Lallana was playing in fits and starts - the last 2 games have probably taken a lot out of them, so I see it as a positive that we're still on a decent unbeaten run. Frustrating, yes, but not the end of the world at all. So November has been a really good month, exactly the sort of month we needed to have. Similar next month please...as January is a stinker. The Cat Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 Tettey broke up most of our play and reduced us to aiming direct to Lambert by the end. Hoolahan was good and they pretty much bossed the midfield in the second half. It was a fairly scrappy game and neither keeper was tested much. Saint Fan CaM Posted 28 November, 2012 Share Posted 28 November, 2012 Disappointing and boring match, mainly brought about by a Norwich side who were intent on breaking up our play and defending deep and a Ref who was intent on giving Norwich every chance to play their game their way (a complete knoob).
