Tonights games.

Draws would be preferable, simply because that means all 4 teams drop points.

It's still early days yet, really, but I guess everyone's view will depend on whether they think it's better (at this stage) to have two teams cut adrift completely - in which case two home wins wouldn't be disastrous for us - or for everyone to be quite close together but for us to be a couple of points above the dotted line. Obviously come the end of the season, we'd take the latter, but if teams like Reading and QPR can be completely demoralised by Christmas it means there's then only one relegation place to play for.

Still too early in the season to be pouring over the results of these games. If Reading play say, Tottenham then of course you know who you want to win. But there's far too long left in this season to spunk or crap yourselves over a result in these games right now. The simple formula is 12 points available if you add up for each team. 2 draws and 8 are lost, 2 wins and 6 are lost. Looking solely at points injection then 2 draws is the only justifiably 'best' result for us tonight in my opinion.

Draws but unless QPR win we will be back in the bottom 3.

QPR result won't have any impact on us being in bottom 3. QPR are 7 points behind and Sunderland are one point ahead, neither are going to leapfrog us.

We stay 17th if Villa and Reading draw, otherwise the winner leapfrogs us.

I think QPR will win and all the journos will wet their pants with their Harry love even though it will be just because he has promised them all a big bonus, the bloody emperor's new clothes-club crippling twonk. And Reading will win. And I'll win my juicy multiple.

I too think QPR will be too good for Sunderland, they have good players, it's just their utilisation and motivation that's not right.

Head v heart. I want 'Arry to fail. But I know a QPR win, or a draw would be better for us in the long run.

Disagree. QPR have got a very kind run of fixtures starting tonight (wonder why 'Arry chose now to start ), where they play Sunderland, Villa, Wigan, Fulham and Newcastle before Christmas, where they should pick up some points (especially in the home games against Villa and Fulham).

Sunderland, on the other hand, play QPR, Norwich, Chelsea, Reading, Man United and us in the same period. Unlikely to get too many points there - possibly tonight and Reading at home and that's about it for "likely" wins.

Agree, Harry isn't a bad manager although many think otherwise. He'll get in there, kick some ass (or Joe Jordan will anyway in the

fullness of time) and they'"ll move up the league. I'd rather have Sunderland in difficulty than a side with HR managing it. Because O'Neill, well he's only good in Jockland.

Spot on. You have to look at other fixtures aswell, you don't want our rivals winning many away games either, as they are very much bonus results regardless of opposition.

Sunderland Vs QPR - Can see QPR winning.

Aston Villa V Reading - Think Villa should have too much to Reading.

2 draws please.

prefer a big Sunderland victory, for reasons

1) stops them starting a new manager postive era and going on a run,

2) reckon we will be ok anyway, but three points for sunderland unlikely with all combinations to put us down.

3) will look like one of relegation places sorted.

4) happily see that self publicising knob lose every game a team of his manages

Come on Sunderland...stuff them!!

I agree with this, plus...

5) Saints play Sunderland at St Mary's soon, so a good chance to make back those three points.

@IanDarkeESPN: Some sources reporting that Bent has left Villa Park after his latest omission and driven home

I wonder what is going on there behind closed doors. If anything Bent is now available for a knockdown price because everyone knows he doesn't get on with the manager. If he had made the bench and perhaps a few sub appearances you could have gotten a few million more for him.

Like Guly with us. ;)
