Barry Sanchez Posted 27 November, 2012 Share Posted 27 November, 2012 If QPR were Southampton we would be offering them worse odds of staying up but as they are a fashionable club and have Redknapp at the helm we think they have a chance of staying up, staying up because the club is situated in a wealthy area is a reason to lower odds on a club staying in the PremierLeague? dubai_phil Posted 27 November, 2012 Share Posted 27 November, 2012 Redknapp will keep them up and win the FA Cup. Saint Garrett Posted 27 November, 2012 Share Posted 27 November, 2012 Theyre capable of staying up and do have some good players. Would also expect some names to go there in January as well - probably from Spurs. Huddlestone, Defoe, Dawson, Gallas I could see being on his radar. Tony F Posted 27 November, 2012 Share Posted 27 November, 2012 Mind you, QPR are in the "strongest" position to fall short of the 11 points Premier League Season record of Derby Country. Something which Saints are now unable to do, whilst Reading and Sunderland are almost there........ Go one 'Arry - you know you want to!!!

Funny I heard the same thing on the Talksport but it was the view of a guy from a betting company saying that the "Harry Redcrap" factor influenced the punters and that is why the odds are better for them. Don't the bookies base the odds on the betting and the radio presenters just report? One of the presenters did a comparison on us and qpr when Harry took over and it was about 2 games difference and we had more points. They also asked the question whether he would do a spurs or Saints with qpr and were quite balanced in my opinion.
VectisSaint Posted 27 November, 2012 Share Posted 27 November, 2012 They have some good players. That's vastly different to having a good squad. They have some good players, but really not very many, and those they do have are not team players. I look at their squad and think what a bunch of misfits and under-achievers. Arry has a lot to do to make them into a team, and will fail until and unless he gets Big Joe (and maybe Bond) into the club which I believe is currently not the case. Arry on his own is like Hoddle without Gorman, cack.

derry Posted 27 November, 2012 Share Posted 27 November, 2012 IMO he has to get off to a flying start, if he doesn't he could well be in the same boat as Hughes unable to buy a win. It's all about team spirit, I'm not sure he can turn this around.
VectisSaint Posted 27 November, 2012 Share Posted 27 November, 2012 You are aware the Thames isn't wide enough to accommodate a stadium and the river traffic? Ridiculous suggestion. At London Bridge it is 265 metres wide, so could fit 2 football pitches end to end and have some space. In any case I was envisaging a platform being built out into the Thames with the megastadium built on top of it. River traffic should not be impacted and there would be mooring berths for the super rich and famous pals of Saggy to tie up their yachts while the matches were taking place. I don't think the suggestion is any more ridiculous than trying to build a stadium in Portsmouth Dockyard to incorporate the IW Ferry terminal :-) It may even be possible to incorporate a petting zoo. I keep hearing this, that all these Tottenham players are suddenly going to join QPR but why would they give up a chance of European glory and fight for a top 4 finish to go to a no mark team with a relegation battle. Let's face it, Saggy may turn them round and avoid relegation but it won't be by much and it'll be a fight all season. Another thing, to move all of these players in he has to manoeuvre a whole load of the current 25 man squad and that ain't going to be easy.
