I don't know why people keep talking but him, people have been going on about him nonstop for months, why do so many people give a toss?

Don't give a toss about him, but I do care about the question as to whether he can save them. Will they get the new manager bounce? Or hopefully, it will be a disaster with Harry moving to distance himself from the sinking ship by Jan/Feb :-)

Probably because of the perceived likelihood of him being brought back here. Lets face it, until a few games ago that looked quite feasible.

To be fair, he was a c*nt to us and I wouldn't be at all upset to see him go down in style at QPR. Good manager; just never gave a sh*t while he was here and only took the job to p*ss off mad Mandy.

He's a rare breed; someone who is despised at either ends of the M27.

Well people keep insisting he is a crap manager who who bankrupts every club he goes to so surely no one should be worried about him being at one of our relegation rivals, in fact they should be delighted he is there.

Well the thing is, I quite like football. I find it interesting. So when an ex manger of ours promises the earth (again) after failing so badly with us, I think to myself "hmm. I wonder how thy turn out.

I'd say he is a good manager but just didn't give a **** when he managed us. Well within his capability to turn it round at QPR. Also well within his capability to **** them over too.

Oh yeah, f'sure :)

As has already been said he has started making his excuses just in case it goes pear shaped already.

Saved Spuds and that lot down the road, screwed up with us.......I really hope he makes it 2-2 !!!!

Impossible for me as a Saints fan to say, "yes he's a good manager". Especially when you consider his efforts at the skates is the reason they're destitute.

However, is it fair to say "He dun alright at Spurs"?

Not really, a few on here have said it. Not difficult is it.

Well he's already 'forgotten' his time at SMS in terms of 'toughest job' and looking at what was required to keep us up, all he needed was to get 30% in wins rather than the 26% (rough figures, the info's on the BBC article this morning) he got and we'd have been ok.

No doubt if QPR do go down then 2 months into the new season he'll be back off to Spurs/somewhere else as it's his 'spiritual home'.

One of the myths that seems to have been peddled over the years (and encouraged by Redkn*pp) is that he performed some sort of miracle at Spurs. Fair dos, saving the skates was impressive, but Spurs? Do me a favour; he was appointed with 30 (?) games left to play and with a very good squad. There was no way they were going down, I could have saved them that season.

What other managers have taken Spurs into the champions league?

He has already set the wheels in motion to bring in big Joe and Bond. I think Jordan is a sound bloke, but Bond? I remember when we were teetering on the edge of the abyss, for the Norwich game the players were all sat on the pitch as Dennis Rofe started getting them going smashing his fist into his hand with passion, when we played United last day it was Bonds turn in the middle of the players compared to Rofe was like a wet flannel totally zero passion. So good luck if he does the same job.

My boss is a QPR season ticket holder his first comment when we beat them was that we had Spirit and fight that they lacked passion and effort, he does not hold out much hope for Arry to make much difference.

TALKSPORT have been talking about Harry and Saints all day.

Seems we'd played 13 games when he took us over and had 12 points (QPR have 4points)

Maybe he'll pay a Karmatic debt to us for getting us relegated by ensuring QPR go down and don't get more points than Saints. :)

I guess it all depends on how much he is given to spend in January. Has he started spouting off in the media about how rubbish the current lot of players are yet?

Well, indirectly - on BBC Football he is quoted thusly: "I need 11 people with ability to put effort in. If they don't they're not going to play and I'll get 11 who do."

In the same article they mention that he saved Portsmouth from relegation twice - but didn't mention his failure at SFC.

He is a **** but in fairness it won't be. They need 32-34 points from 25 games which is a massive upturn in form. Harry could win his first three in a row and probably still be in the bottom three.

I hate him but keeping them up now would be amazing.

Never understood this arguement either, he A. Needs to motivate them and B. of course he will defend himself in that situation, what do people expect of him ? Tell everone what an easy job its going to be ? Claim he doesnt need any players ?

TBH QPR should be knackered but if anyone could save them he could

I wouldn't be surprised if he did it. QPR aren't as bad as their haul of 4 points suggests; they've got some decent players with Premier League pedigree. They're an aboslute shambles at the moment, but they spent big in the summer and will spend big in January. Home against Villa on Saturday is absolutely perfect for them. Its a tough ask, but we're only a third of the way through the season and i think they've still got every chance (though it will be an epic effort to turn them around).

"Lunchtime With `Arry Redknapp...

I'll never understand women. Some of them don't even bother with the golf.

I've got up this morning and her indoors has left a note saying she's gone up the shops and I'd better have made the lunch by the time she gets back or else. She says she wants spaghetti bolognaise.

Opened up the fridge. Jesus Christ, have you seen what she's left me with? I'm down to the bare bones and no mistake.

There's spaghetti, a tub of pasta sauce, some minced beef, fresh herbs, some parmesan cheese, a bottle of Baron Philippe de Rothschild Opus One Napa Valley 1987 red wine and Claudia Roden's 'Simple Mediterranean Cookery' book! Bloody amateur hour, I'm telling you. How the hell am I supposed to make spaghetti bolognaise with that little lot? I thought there'd be some top, top ingredients in there.

Whoever's bought that from the supermarket should be ashamed of themself. It's a mish-mash of lopsided ingredients. The whole recipe has been badly constructed. It's scary, I'm telling you.

I'm just standing there swearing and muttering to meself when the phone rings. It's Jeff Powell phoning up to say how brilliant I am and that I'm one of the best cooks of my time and that I could have cooked for England. I have to cut him off though because I've got Brian Woolnough on the other line saying I'm one of the kitchen's great characters and it's a bloody miracle how many meals I've made out of literally nothing. They're saying I'm like a Cockney Jesus, the way I've managed to feed the five thousand with the tiny amount I've had to spend in the supermarket and just my wheeler-dealer know-how.

I need some better ingredients and fast. When I saw the wife come home from the shops yesterday with some spaghetti, a tub of pasta sauce, some minced beef, fresh herbs, some parmesan cheese, a bottle of Baron Philippe de Rothschild Opus One Napa Valley 1987 red wine and Claudia Roden's 'Simple Mediterranean Cookery' book, I had no idea that's what would be in the fridge when she asked me to make spaghetti bolognaise.

It's a hard job I've got on here this lunchtime believe me. If I can even get anything into a pan it'll be a massive achievement and I know Jeff and Woolly would agree with me. Trouble is the wife can't take criticism. Too precious these days, women. That's the trouble. I'm short of people with the right character in this house.

When you're as stretched as I am, a lunch is a massive distraction from the really important meal: dinner. I think I'm just going to have to serve up the pot of pasta sauce with some tap water and just hope for the best. If I can pull this mess round it'll be amazing really."
