Was amused by his solution to chase the game was to bring on Sammy Ameobie.

 

Forcing 4-4-2 on Newcastle when they don't have the players seemed silly, then to break it and do 5-0-5 to chase the game was a master stroke.

...and the look on Nigel's face whenthis happened...it was like seeing your flash new girlfriend meet her old boyfriend for the first time since they broke up and giving him a peck on the cheek. Oh well, at least we won and Nigel showed that he has bigger more shiny balls.

Thought it is good of Pardew to have signed a new 8 year contract well in time to yesterdays game. The Geordies have been on a downward spiral ever since. Cortese should take note about going for Europe too soon. Far better to establish ourselves in the Premier League, allowing more of the Academy lads to develop and provide us with a strong side with the right priorities,.
