Shaw we be our new 1st choice left back and fox will end up gone as he is the worse player in the premier league by a long shot

That wasnt actually what us muppets were argueing about was it you massive tw!t

Shaw looks good though, JWP looks a player too and after watching that youth review earlier Im very very excited

This is 100%true. Fox is truly dreadful. He was poor was last year too but we carried him through. I was shocked that we persevered with him given he has no presence of mind or space. Tunnel vision...... Good bye and you were very lucky to play for us in the first place...

Why do you feel the need to exaggerate every opinion to make your point? Fox was one of the best LBs in the Championship last season. Shaw has looked a superb prospect though, it must be said.

Simply not true.....about Fox being one of the best left backs in the Championship last year........Way short of the actual truth...Fox was lucky enough to be playing in the best team in the Championship that is all....

I think you share and many others on this board share a tendency to vastly overestimate the quality of other players in the Championship. Fox did just fine defensively on the whole and was great to have coming forward and got plenty of assists from both open play and corners. I can't think of many better LBs in the league below; second in the league Palace still have Parr playing there and he is not the same quality of player as Fox. Thats not to say I think Fox is up to holding down a starting place in the Premiership though; his defensive shortcomings are amplified in this league and I wanted him replaced during the summer. Glad to see Shaw doing so well.

I am not exaggerating anything.

Fox is Dia. He is a league one player at best.

For anyone to say he is quality attacking is a absolute crack up. He certainly can't defend and he most certainly can't attack. Even when he attempts to make an a attack and puts in a poor over hit ball or doesn't even beat the first man. He just strolls back like a penguin running his hands through his lovely hair.

Quality at attacking! This has made my year. What attacking left side player in the premiership would you put him up there with?

There is not one team in the premier league that would play Danny fox or even have him on the bench. If he gets a championship club offer he should snap it up as that's the best he could hope for.

You are crazy Danny was one of our best players last season and was part of the team that got us promoted he is at least a good championship player! I agree hes not quite premiership level. Some people are quick to forget the contributions players made to get us where we are now!

Nice one Crab Lungs....one of the original and best posters. Going way back to 2001 methinks or earlier ?

Haha, one of the originals... it's a shame I rarely post anything of note these days though - that's down to me though, more than anything.

Apologies if I offended anyone but the bloke keeps making sarcastic, gobby comments.

*btw, I was a fellow Hoddle advocate :suspicious:

Always good to see your posts, just thinking how many of us still post from back in 2001 ?

He was adequate in The Championship, he has a great delivery into the penalty area, thats it. He was a long way from being one of our best players last season unless we discount Davis, Jos, Fonte, Morgan, Cork, Lallana and Lambert

You sound like the guy near me in the Kingsland who moans like hell before Fox gets near the ball. I am not sure how that support works for our team? perhaps Danny gets motivated to do his best? For me, he did alright in the past, Adkins picks him still, I will get behind the team and hope he proves the nutter wrong (the guy was the same with Ormerod a few years back)

Fox is shi@e. I posted this on here when we signed him that he wasn't great and he's pulled the wool over numerous managers eyes before being seen for the player he is. I'm from winsford where he is from. He spends too much time in the De Bees pub drinking and smoking when back up north. When I watch him play I think its little wonder he never gets beyond Lallana because he simply doesn't have the engine to do it.
