The Majestic Channon Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 The most underrated band of all time discuss
BadgerBadger Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 I can't choose between Lesbian Dopeheads on Mopeds or Gay Bikers on Acid
Turkish Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 Milburn are the most under rated band ever. FACT
saintbletch Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 Any band that can weave delivering a cargo of cocaine into Trumpton was underrated. But the Len Hanley stance should never have been the subject of anyone's popular culture toon. That is all I have to say.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 I've never heard of this band, but I've munched my way through so many McVitie's Digestives this morning the thread title may well be on the verge of becoming a scientific fact. But it's good for a man to have a hobby they say ......
Polaroid Saint Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 I said a similar thing to my cousin last week. Half Man Half Biscuit are not under-rated, at least not by 'real music lovers' (the Camra of sounds type) thus is evidenced the fact they get played everyday almost everyday on BBC6music. They are a very important band too though; British indie would not be the same without them. Like Joy Division. Where's there is dark there is light. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

saintbletch Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 Len Ganley, that is all. Whoops. That post was brought to you in association with Strongbow, Staropramen and Laphroaig. My apologies to Len's family.
vince Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 Classic Half Man Half Biscuit.... [video=youtube_share;na12OyJEgJ8]
alpine_saint Posted 25 November, 2012 Posted 25 November, 2012 Not that special. Was a cracking gig at the Mayfair in the mid-80s though.
thefunkygibbons Posted 26 November, 2012 Posted 26 November, 2012 No, that award belongs to Oceansize or The Cardiacs
Chorlton Posted 26 November, 2012 Posted 26 November, 2012 Saw HMHB is Bath the other week and they were as good and as sharp (and cutting to hecklers) as ever. But Turkish is right about Milburn.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 26 November, 2012 Posted 26 November, 2012 Classic Half Man Half Biscuit.... [video=youtube_share;na12OyJEgJ8] I had never heard any of their stuff but watched the clip with an open mind. Personally I would say if that's one of their classics, then rather than be under rated I would have said you over rated them.

Try to find Trumpton Riots or "F**king hell, its Fred Titmus!" For me, HMHB were just a less absuive, less misogynistic Macc Lads.

badgerx16 Posted 26 November, 2012 Posted 26 November, 2012 "When I’m pining for a cigarette I think of all the free ones that I’d get If I killed myself and came back as a beagle" Lyrics from 'I Left My Heart in Papworth General'
krissyboy31 Posted 26 November, 2012 Posted 26 November, 2012 They're still cremating Hattie Jacques!
