We had our first ever win at St Mary's. Beat Charlton 1 - 0 Pahars scored

Remember that game so vividly, my first ever at St Mary's.

 

Sitting on the Northam/Kingsland corner and right in line with Beattie as he surged up the right flank before delivering his cross into Pahars at the Chapel end.

 

A wonderful day, so good to get the monkey off our backs and a sign of things to come under Strachan in the next few years.

I remember a Charlton player hitting the post, the ball rolling accross the goal past the other post right at the end.

Remember it well, my Birthday is the 24th, and was convinced we'd finally get a win at St Mary's. Great day.
