Any news on today's train crash?

My train towards Southampton today coming from Portsmouth was delayed because of somebody being hit by a train. Can't seem to find any updates, anybody heard anything? Hope he/she is okay.

Bit of a misleading title. Train hitting a person is as much a train crash as a car hitting a bird is a car crash

Mate works for ambulance service. Bloke not dead , lucky not to be by all accounts . V Bad arm injury, believed trespasser on line.

Used to get this on the Underground a lot. Expected delays, 'person under train' at such and such station. You never heard much sympathy from the commuters. I bet nearly every tube driver employed has had to go through that horror at least once.

I think "one under" is the phrase used on the London Underground."

 

Very common and very sad.
