If Redknapp goes to QPR

Totally agree, anything that strengthens them is terrible for us.

Appointing Harry doesn't strengthen them. I just don't get it. He's won nothing despite spending ridiculous amounts of money. He's bankrupted 4 clubs. And people wanted him for the England job! It's as if he bewiches people into believing he is a good manager. Harry Potter rather than Harry Redknapp.

So the great media w4nkfest starts again over Redkrapp... on Talksport just now, Tony N'Chenzo (sp) the QPR reporter how Redknapp spotted the attacking prowess in Bale and moved him from left back to a more attacking position... no mention that he was about to ship him out to Forest and only played him there as spuds had an injury crisis, but don't let the facts get in the way of media fawning.

Apparently QPR are mid table already.

Now you have highlighted the fact I called him an idiot means Ill get my wrists slapped too, even though it was obviously fact.

Redknapp is the worst manager ever, its all a media conspiracy that he is at the top level and paid healthily.

Now we can go back to de railing another thread, can I be part of the gang again ? Ive got too nicey nice recently

With Redknapp in charge QPR will stay up. Their owners have money and will be willing to spend, unlike Lowe when Redknapp was here. He may be a rentagob arse but he knows how to manage a football club and if Adkins had got the sack, which I'm glad he didn't, I would have begrudgenly have had Redknapp here.

And anyone who really think he was going to manage the Ukraine needs to have your head tested. That was Harry's way of pressuring QPR into sacking Hughes, let everyone know he's about to manage another team and see who reacts first

Quite. I don't hate him, but the blatant cynicism associated with HR would have depressed the crap out of me after 2 years of a bloke like Nigel

Tend to agree this is bad news Harry couldn't manage any club well on a budget but he will be given money and he can pick the right players from his brown bag list that's where his strengths lie, even at this stage I think we can say qpr won't be in the bottom three come may!

24 hours from MH's sacking and he's in, spouting the usual stuff.

I wonder if he will find it the same as he did here or if he can work his usual magic by taking coaching sessions with his game plan written on the back of his hand.

According to one of the local London papers the squad is very divided and this is the problem. If it is the case, arguably HR will do well although he'll have to reconcile himself with Taarbat who no doubt will have miraculously changed from the player he got rid of while at Spurs into one of the best players in the PL.

HR was also personally responsible for discovering Walcott don't forget.

And Dyer.

No mention of how many young players whose careers he set back whilst here, Crainie, Mills for two.

On BBC he's reported as saying this is his hardest job.

Sounds familiar.

I agree, he is so obviously crooked it isnt true, but saying he is a poor manager is very blinkered imo

He probably doesn't see himself as crooked. Anyone who has any knowledge of London's East End in the 50/60/70s would tell

you that Harry is a pretty straight sort of guy compared to normal behaviour there. Went to the Blind Beggar once, couldn't even pick the gangs out from the rest.

Redknapp had an immediate rejuvenating effect when he took over at Portsmouth in December 2005 and then Tottenham

three years later (the less said about his spell at Southampton the better) but he himself has admitted the size of

the task at QPR eclipses his earlier jobs.

Above is from the BBC report so at last a media person has realised that HR isn't as perfect as HR seems to think he is.
