If Redknapp goes to QPR

How do you think he'll do?

So far he seems to have done ok at Spurs in a similar situation but then we had to suffer him.

Does anyone who is genuinely ITK have any views based on what they might have heard from his time here via their sources?

I'm interested to learn if people think QPR will start to do well, or if they're a sinking ship because they are one of our direct competitors.

He'll enjoy working at a triffic club like Rangers, great supporters and a fantastic chairman, Tony really knows what he wants and has backed him 100%

3 weeks in, "i cant wave a magic wand and make them good players, it'll be a miracle if we stay up, we are down tot he bare bones. "

On the face of it he seems a good fit for them but the QPR team isn't much good. Unless he's given plenty to spend it could be the Saints scenario all over again. Relegation would be the death knell of his managerial career and then we'll just have the benefit of his insight in MoTD studio to look forward to. I hope he gets it so we can give him a warm welcome to SMS in March.

Harry Redknapp, May 2013:

"When I arrived here QPR were rock bottom with four points from 12 games...".etc

For once he'd actually be telling the truth though.

Which first team player do we think he's going to exile to the reserves and fall out with first ?

I disagree, they've got some decent players who just aren't trying very much.

I wonder if there will be an emotional homecoming for Nigel Quashie to bolster their midfield. What's he doing these days?

Ironically enough his last club was QPR anyway, 4 Championship matches in Jan-Feb 2010 after West Ham let him go on a free and they lost all of them, conceding 9 and only scoring 1 goal.

Bad news for us...despite the hatred from the one-eyed on here I can see him turning it around for QPR.

Now QPR look sorted I think it's 40 points for survival this season.

I just can't see any real mugs in this division.

Fortunately there only need to be three slightly more muggy than us.

My money would be on Taarabt.

No I reckon Taarabt is the sort of headcase of a player that would benefit from Harry's arm-round-the-shoulder approach to management

For me guys like Cisse and Bosingwa will be first to exile in the reserves as they looked totally uninterested playing against us

Dawson's a pretty much nailed on signing now. No doubt Redknapp would have already told the chairman what money he requires and had it agreed. He didn't really do that with us as: The move was really about putting one over MM, and his stock wasn't as high as it is now.

With us the players were'nt really good enough. Personally I think they've got a pretty decent side that are underperforming. In those circumstances he is the ideal man. Typical of the Twitchy **** that he's avioded Man Utd and starts with a run of winnable games.

He's such a bloody manipulator. Doesn't fancy coming in for the Man U game as it would look bad if he lost first up. Has been hanging around waiting for Hughes to slip up, whatever he says. First thing he'll do is give them huge bonuses, then they'll move up the table.

Yes but who?

QPR - with a good manager they could do well and I think Harry is a good manager.

Norwich - good team ethic, will fight to the last and well capable of grabbing the points when needed.

Wigan - capable of getting out of tight spots as they have demonstrated in previous seasons.

Villa - IMO probably the weakest team but the manager is a good motivator.

Stoke - the awkward squad, have too much about them IMO, should stay clear.

Reading - recent win will have their tails up - starting on a run?

Sunderland - like Stoke, I think they should clear the drop zone

Dark horse - Liverpool, if Suarez stays fit then they are OK but an injury a long way from the transfer window could see them drop lots of points. Could they handle the pressure?

No obvious candidates for bottom 3 IMO (Villa maybe).

It's going to be a tight race.

Totally agree, anything that strengthens them is terrible for us.

My money would be on Taarabt.

He did that at Spurs but Taarabt is now one of the hardest workers (which shows how lazy some of the others have got), Boswinga would be my bet, hes so lazy.

At least we will finally play something other than 4411 or 442.

As others have already said, bad news for us. QPR were crap but Harry will turn it around so now its gonna be tough, i can see all those games we've been ahead and got nothing could very well come back to haunt us.

After the Utd game they have Sunderland away, Villa at home, Wigan away, Fulham at home. Chances to pick up some points with the 'new manager' boost.

They still have an awful defence, and bar maybe Cesar a lot of their imports like Bosingwa, Cisse, Granero etc. looked not that bothered to me. A lot of hard work for Redknapp.

I'm surprised he took it to be honest, after getting rather unfairly sacked at Spurs and almost being England manager bottom of the premier league seems a bit below him. Would think that some other jobs might be available in another month or two like say Newcastle, Liverpool maybe, even a return to spurs.

He take Sir Les with him, saying "he has always told me what a triffic club this is"! Also "Actually Jamie always supported Rangers as a kid"! "Most of us were brought up with Bowles and Gerry Francis"! "Fans make this a hotbed to come to".

Also it is near to Olympia so Rosie can pop and see Crufts?

Lets look on the bright side at least the timing is right for us for once. Normally we are the team to face the team with the new manager. It could of been worse and Harry's first game in charge could have been last Saturday if their chairman had acted a little more quickly. Then not only would they have their lift from the appointment to probably keep them up, but they would most definitely taken all 3 points on Saturday and we'd be even more glum :) I still believe we can stay up and thanks to last week push on from that big result and win the next couple of games.

Redknapp's managerial record

Tottenham: Oct 2008 - Jun 2012 49.5% win ratio

Portsmouth: Dec 2005 - Oct 2008 42.5% win ratio

Southampton: Dec 2004 - Dec 2005 26.5% win ratio

Portsmouth: Mar 2002- Nov 2004 46.5% win ratio

West Ham: Aug 1994-May 2001 37% win ratio

Bournemouth: Oct 1983- Jun 1992 39.39% win ratio

I thought his ratio would have been better

Probably needs to win 9 out of 26 (about 35%) and get 5 or 6 draws. No easy task really.
