1885 Posted 21 November, 2012 Posted 21 November, 2012 What an idiot. Unfortunately his right to do so...
ericofarabia Posted 21 November, 2012 Posted 21 November, 2012 How long efore he signs up for a Month long loan at Cheatsmuff?
Lazlo78 Posted 21 November, 2012 Author Posted 21 November, 2012 What an idiot. Unfortunately his right to do so... I agree. The moment you dish out punishment, then it's no longer an unwritten rule. Disappointed that Lusescu didn't haul him off but instead let him stay on and get two more goals. Also they could have let FCN get a goal but only half the Shaktar team wanted to do that. Not really useful
RedAndWhite91 Posted 21 November, 2012 Posted 21 November, 2012 It would never have happened if the guy in red hadn't made such a meal of being run in to. He didn't have to go down holding his face... Hardly got touched.

He didn't have to go down holding his face... Hardly got touched. So you think the goal was fair enough? That Luiz Adriano made a quick assessment of the situation and decided that there was too little contact in the previous incident to follow fair play rules? Interesting...
1885 Posted 21 November, 2012 Posted 21 November, 2012 I think it was even worse after the kickoff when Adriano scored... Donezk players doing nothing, allowing the Norse guys to run the ball, then Adriano yells at his defenders to make them attack again. Just awful.
skintsaint Posted 21 November, 2012 Posted 21 November, 2012 Didn't Shaktar have the ball when the bloke made a meal of it? ..therefore why give possession back to the other team?

Fair enough if you were right. As it happens, FCN were in possession when the ref stopped play. Look 2 seconds into the video clip...
Smirking_Saint Posted 22 November, 2012 Posted 22 November, 2012 He is going through disciplinary ATM through Fifa for unsporting behaviour. Whilst I agree with the fact he has the right to do as he wishes if you tell a club you are kicking the ball back, then dont, then they are not prepared etc etc
Window Cleaner Posted 22 November, 2012 Posted 22 November, 2012 Didn't the same thing happen in an Arsenal Cup game against Sheff U perhaps. Instead of the ball being given back to Sheffield Utd Kanu used it to score with. After a big kerfuffle the game was replayed.
Saintandy666 Posted 23 November, 2012 Posted 23 November, 2012 Wasn't it Ricardo Fuller who attempted to score against us from a fair play ball drop?

Instead of the ball being given back to Sheffield Utd Kanu used it to score with. After a big kerfuffle the game was replayed. I remember that. Pretty sure it was one of his first games and he wasn't sure of the 'gentlemen's agreement' between teams. Didn't Arsenal let Utd score direct fromthe restart to balance it out? Or was that another game?

Didn't Arsenal let Utd score direct fromthe restart to balance it out? Or was that another game? It was in '99 and the game was replayed: One of the most controversial incidents in FA Cup history sees this fifth round result in 1998-99 effectively count for nothing as a replay is arranged (following an offer by Arsenal) due to the furore surrounding Arsenal's late winner. Kanu marks his arrival to English football by setting up Marc Overmars to score rather than returning the ball to Sheffield United, who had kicked the ball for a throw-in out owing to an injury. The replayed game at Highbury would end with Arsenal again winning 2-1!
