Saint in Paradise Posted 20 November, 2012 Share Posted 20 November, 2012 Not a very happy read in these days of Defence cuts. If this lot can't work together it's no wonder the politicans can walk over them like they do. Frank Ledwidge, author of the bestselling and controversial book on British military policy "Losing Small Wars," returns with a startling ebook essay on rivalry between top ranks of the UK military forces. http://yalebooks.wordpress.com/2012/06/18/punching-below-our-weight-frank-ledwidge-takes-aim-at-military-leaders-with-his-new-ebook-short/ I posted this here rather than the Arts as more people will see it here. buctootim Posted 20 November, 2012 Share Posted 20 November, 2012 When was the last time anybody sold lots of copies of a book or newspaper by saying "Everythings not too bad considering, about average to normal"?
Saint in Paradise Posted 21 November, 2012 Author Share Posted 21 November, 2012 The author is only talking about the very high ranking officers - he is Not saying that the normal ordinary chaps are doing the same.
TopGun Posted 21 November, 2012 Share Posted 21 November, 2012 Internecine squabbles between army, navy and airforce are as old as the hills. RN fought to block creation of RAF from RFC in WW1 for example.
